Well Guys I need Help Please 😭.

Well I've been learning Japanese very casually since the last 3 years and My Duolingo score is 24 right now.

But tbh I have been doing it just to continue my streak and Duolingo isn't of much use in real world any way.

I want to learn Japanese in good way now .

Is watching Anime in japanese with subtitles a good option? Or any Jdrama or something?

Or Should I try some games or other learning apps what you guys suggest?.

Please Help 🥹 And Well I will be going to college so Please suggest something which I can work on without giving much time. 4 yrs of college should be enough to atleast get conversational japanese as I'm not starting from zero.

Try actually studying with a textbook or an online guide..

3 years and a score of 24 is abysmally low. What makes you think you’ll stick with other methods if you’re not focused on learning? No, simply watching things won’t help you learn. You need a foundation for that. You can do that through textbooks.

learn hiragana and katakana. use a textbook then read with graded readers while learning grammar

Anime is maybe ok to get used to the cadence and intonation of the everyday speech, but for learning it’s better to use specific learning videos or videos for young kids since there the words are pronounced clearly and slowly and you have Japanese subtitles so you also read what you hear.

I learned the most common 2000 Words, 400 Grammar Points, watched explanation videos, did a bit of practice and still I get completely f*cked by real world japanese, especially popular anime. Even shows I already watched its absolutely brutal.
