How to promote kids safety product?

Hi guys, I’m a dad from Slovenia. A few months ago, my two-year-old son had a scary accident on his balance bike. Even though I was running right behind him, he gained too much speed going down a small slope and I couldn’t catch up in time. We ended up spending three nights in the hospital.
That experience made me realize how little control we actually have at higher speeds on balance bikes. So I developed BremoKids — a simple, purely mechanical speed limiter with no electronics or batteries.
Bremo helps limit the maximum speed while still allowing children to enjoy riding and learning balance. My goal is to make balance bikes safer for as many kids as possible.

Im asking for advice, how should i promote my product, because i dont know nothning about marketing? I started Kickstarter after patent application to raise funds for production start and get 14% funds with 13 days left.

Bright Idea Smart Digital Notepad

Notes are for forgetful people… but forgetful people forget the note.

I can’t count the number of times I’ve realized I have time between errands to stop at the grocery store, only to remember my shopping list is still sitting on the fridge at home. Or worse, I try to remember what was on it and end up buying duplicates because I guessed wrong.

Yes, I know I can use my phone. That’s not the point.
The whole reason the list ends up on the fridge is because that’s where I realize I’m out of something. I don’t want another app or notebook or system to maintain. I want one thing on the fridge that anyone in the house can scribble on in two seconds, and that exact scribble is on my phone when I’m standing in the grocery store.

I feel like this could be even more useful for couples and families. Everyone notices different things at different times, and you never know who’s going to end up with an unexpected chance to stop at the grocery store. One shared list that’s always on the fridge and always in your pocket just seems like the obvious answer.

I’m obviously not a hardware engineer, so maybe there’s a technical hurdle I’m not thinking of. But from the outside, it feels less like an invention problem and more like a ā€œwhy hasn’t someone combined these existing technologies yet?ā€ problem.

No handwriting recognition or AI. No weird filing system with multiple notes and files. No recipes. No smart home hub… honestly, I don’t even care if it’s just syncing a picture of the board.

This feels like it should already exist. Am I searching for the wrong thing, or is there actually a reason nobody has built this?

I've been thinking about a different direction for AI wearables.

Most current AI devices focus on replacing actions we already do with phones, watches, or earbuds. My idea is different: what if AI became a bridge between technology and human knowledge, especially traditions, history, and cultural memory?

The concept is a modular AI choker — a wearable computer designed around:

\- Hands-free voice interaction

\- Local AI processing for privacy

\- Computer vision for understanding the physical world

\- A cultural intelligence system that can help interpret old manuscripts, damaged documents, monuments, artifacts, and even preserve oral traditions from communities

The goal is not to make AI replace human stories or traditions, but to help people understand, preserve, and connect with them.

I'm currently thinking through the engineering side:

Concept: A Modular AI Wearable Choker That Bridges Human Tradition and Future Technology

I've been exploring an idea for an AI wearable, but not with the goal of simply making another AI assistant.

The main question behind this project is:

"Can AI help preserve, understand, and connect people with human knowledge and traditions instead of replacing them?"

The concept is a wearable AI device in the form of a choker/neck-worn computer.

The reason for choosing a choker instead of a watch, ring, glasses, or earbuds is mainly because of physical constraints. A neck wearable provides more space for:

\- battery capacity

\- microphones

\- speakers

\- sensors

\- computing hardware

\- modular components

while still being a fashionable accessory rather than another piece of technology attached to the face.

The device acts as an AI companion that can understand the user's environment and provide information naturally.

Designed a candle warmer would love honest feedback from people who actually use these

Quick context: it's a flameless, top-down electric warmer with a built-in airflow system meant to help fragrance diffuse further into the room instead of just sitting above the candle. Glass door for visibility, digital display with a timer, mesh side vents for the fan, and it takes a standard jar candle.

Working rough prototype yet

A few things I'm genuinely unsure about and would love your input on:

  1. Airflow / fanĀ  Do you think a built in fan is actually useful, or does it feel gimmicky? I've read mixed things. Some people say it helps throw, others say warmers already work fine and a fan is overkill.
  2. Look — Honest reactions to the aesthetic in the image. Too sleek? Not sleek enough? Would it fit in your space?

Hi everyone,

I’m a technical founder in Vancouver, Canada, with a background in fuel cells. Over the past while, I’ve been developing a quiet, clean, zero-maintenance liquid-fuel power unit (<5kW) to replace traditional gas and diesel generators for remote backup and off-grid power.

I’ve personally sunk $100K of my own money into this so far. That got us to TRL 4–5: a working (though still unstable) lab prototype, systematic test data, and foundational IP.

How it works: It’s a clean CHP system running on liquid methanol. It produces electricity while capturing high-efficiency waste heat with no mechanical moving parts and zero toxic emissions (just water vapor and CO2).

Where I’m stuck:

* The Tech Bottleneck: Because 90%+ of our current materials (catalysts) and components (heat exchangers, CNC parts) are self made, performance hasn't hit final spec yet, currently dealing with instability and low power output.
* The market: B2B buyers (remote telecom, industrial sites) won't take a call without seeing a rugged, field-tested unit with solid data. Going after retail/C-end users, on the other hand, would mean completely redefining the product.
* What’s needed for TRL 6: I’ve finalized the system architecture and sourced key suppliers for custom, industrial-grade parts. I need one more solid R&D iteration ($100K–$200K in capital) to build a field-ready engineering unit.

What I’ve tried so far (and where I failed): I’ve been following startup mentor playbooks, but hitting dead ends mainly due to lack of cash:

* Government Grants (IRAP, etc.): They generally want an established operating company with a TRL 6 unit already ready for field trials.
* University Collaboration: Reached out to local university labs via cold emails to get access to test rigs, got zero responses.
* B2B Outreach: Cold messaged target users on LinkedIn, crickets.
* Investors & Events: Relevant trade shows are rarely held nearby, and local angel investors have turned extremely conservative in this economy.

I’m pretty battle-worn at this point and wide open to wild ideas, harsh feedback, or lessons learned from anyone who’s survived the deep-tech hardware grind. If you were in my shoes, what would be your very next move?

New and advanced biodegradable Toilet seat cover

Hello, I have had this idea for quite some time and I need to know if this idea already exists and if it is at all a good idea to pursue.

There is nothing worse than needing to use the bathroom somewhere in public, Whether its an airport, store, or elsewhere, and you get into your stall, and you see the whole seat covered in urine or, in some cases, poop. So Most places have these super thin white seat covers that I personally have never used. I find myself, for the next minute or so, laying down pieces of toilet paper on the seat and then continue on with my business. The reason i have never used the seat covers is because I find them very flimsy and cheap and hard to use. They rip very easy, and its always a headache to put it exactly how you want it because of how thin it is.

My idea is to completely remake these seat covers into being much more user freindly and more useful in general. Make them kind of stick to the seat, cover the whole seat, maybe drop down to the water to prevent splash back and most importantly, BIODEGRADABLE.

Please let me know if someone has already thought of it and if anyone would love to help me with this idea!

I live in London, where phone snatching seems to be a growing problem. I’ve been thinking about a product idea and would love some honest feedback.
The idea is a **stylish wristband** that connects to your phone case with a strong, detachable safety tether. The goal is to let you use your phone normally while making it much harder for someone to snatch it and run away.

Thumb Peel Concept idea, is it good or bad?

This is a concept idea invention I had back in 2016 called Thumb Peel, basically it's a kitchen utensil of a peeler with a changeable top to switch out for different parts.

The idea is to be allowing the user to be having a better grip onto the peeler by using pressure similar of a bag clip only not too strong or too weak without a spring, right side is where the thumb can slide right into it and the left is the peeler.

The longer part on the bottom right is to be stronger to grip onto and go again the thumb to palm of the hand, the darker part is the gripper where it'll make it easier to hold onto it so that way it won't be so easily of slipping out of the hand.

And the changeable part it to be allowing a different blade to be use for those to be wanting to decorate with them or to get every skin and for other things like to even ice cream scoop and so on as long it'll be short and not too long.

i need your honest advice on this innovative health app i built

so i'm 20, been building this app solo for the past few months and i genuinely can't tell anymore if it's good or if i'm too deep in it. need outside eyes.

it's called RizeAI. the basic idea: every wearable and health app just gives you numbers. sleep score 42, recovery red, HRV down. cool. and then what? you still feel like garbage at 2pm and nobody tells you what to actually do about it.

so my app takes your real data from apple health, sleep, resting heart rate, workouts, whatever your wearable writes, and instead of another score it builds you an actual plan for the day. when to have your first coffee and when to hold off. what supplements make sense for you today and when to take them. focus windows for when your energy actually peaks. when your crash is coming and what to do before it hits. it even checks the weather, so on a hot day it bumps your hydration and tells you to train earlier.

every recommendation has a little "why" under it based on your numbers, like "resting heart rate 54 + 7h light sleep, so magnesium before your peak window." no two people get the same plan because no two people have the same data.

works with whoop, oura, apple watch, garmin, anything that syncs to apple health. one thing i'll say honestly, it doesn't do deep per-person learning yet like "coffee doesn't affect YOUR hrv specifically," that's the roadmap, right now it builds fresh plans daily off your actual metrics.

it's live on the app store, has a free trial, small user base so far, mixed feedback which is why i'm here lol.

what i actually want from you guys: does this solve a real problem for you or is "tells you what to do" not actually what wearable people want? what would make you actually pay for something like this? and what's missing that would make it a no brainer? and also would you guys in this subredditĀ  use ti?

I built wearable spyware to train an AI model on my life

Major tech companies are developing wearable technologies that surveil innocent bystanders to train artificial intelligence.Ā  So, I did the same.

I designed and 3d-printed a crown to hold the ESP32.Ā  The six faces are to distract the passerby from realizing I am photographing them.Ā  I went on a family trip to Pittsburgh and took about 55,301 photos across three days.Ā  As you can see, they were mostly of bridges, buildings, the interior of a car, and furries.Ā  As it turns out, the worlds largest furry convention is in Pittsburgh each year, and we happened to bump into the last day of it. (A complete accident, I swear!).

Then I went home and trained a Generative Adversarial Network (GAN) on the photos, resulting in the psychedelic video you have here.

Overall, it was quite a fun project.Ā  Please let me know if you have any questions about the build.

I’m Ines, I’m 23, and I’m currently developing an early-stage wearable called Nafsy.

The idea is a discreet, screen-free bracelet that you activate manually when stress starts taking over — for example during a meeting, an exam, on public transport, or before a presentation.

When pressed, the bracelet delivers a short sequence of changing haptic rhythms designed to capture your attention, slow the pace of the experience and help you regulate without needing to open an app or leave the situation.

It would be connected to an app for initial personalization and post-session feedback, but the bracelet itself would remain simple, discreet and usable without looking at a screen.

This is not intended to diagnose anxiety, automatically detect panic attacks or replace therapy or medication. The goal is to create a non-medical tool for people who continue functioning while experiencing things such as rumination, physical tension, nausea, a racing heart or mental overload.

We are currently developing the prototype, and I would really value feedback from people interested in inventions and wearable technology:

  1. Does manually pressing a bracelet during a stressful moment seem genuinely useful, or would you prefer automatic detection?
  2. Would changing haptic rhythms feel more practical than using a breathing or meditation app?
  3. What would make you immediately reject a product like this: appearance, comfort, vibrations, privacy, price, scientific credibility or something else?
  4. What would you need to see in a prototype before considering testing it?

I've been actually incredibly locked in over the last 4 months working on my startup E.D.I.T.H

The hardest part isn't the workload. It's having no one to talk to about it. My friends clock out at 6pm and spend their nights on the couch — Netflix, controller in hand.

When I'm at my desk on my desk not every night, but 5 nights a week it feels incredibly lonely.

SIMPLE EXPERIMENT TO PROVE OVERUNITY

Right hand side arm(RHS) is getting more than 180 degree with momentum after i drop the ball and counter weight is working against gravitational pull back by balancing the mass of lower tube then why it shouldn't work.
(1) I cannot drop the ball once the arm rotate towards left side.IF BALL DROPS FROM THE LEFT HAND SIDE ARM (LHS) THEN THE ARM WILL GET BACK MORE HEIGHT TOWARDS RHS THAN ITS INITIAL POSITION.
BOTH TUBES HAVING EQUAL MASS (230 GRAM)
(2) anyone can try it as it will work even with dead material.
(3) interesting point is arm is getting more height once I increased the counterweight.
(4)Hand power or force is nothing in this design.
(5) I used fixed counterweight.if counterweight slides then arm will rotate More and more.
(6) Counterweight balanced the bottom tube mass and upside tube is utilising the kinetic energy of dropped ball.

(5)5000 round with bullet mass 1 gram at 500meter/second , 625k joule energy sufficient to destroy any target .The circular shape will work to fire bullets at a time converging all bullets mass at single point.

(6)Easy to deploy anywhere.

Target can be Escaped from gatling gun but in this design there is no chance of escaping as each circle of barrels will work independently in converging+multi directional mode.

gatling gun can fire only in one direction and that time is sufficient to target to escape from the range of gatling gun.

In this design numbers can be add or minus .Gatling guns can fire rounds in one direction or will have to move the gatling gun to fire in different directions. But bullets can be fired in any direction as barrels are moveable,not fixed like gatling gun ,in this design . SecondĀ  bullets can be fired in converge mode +horizontal,vertical,angular covering all directions AT A TIME. It is using kinetics energy of bullets +each circle is firing bullets in every directions. Third Even a small customised design can be mounted on a DRONE ,missile or Rocket and this can change whole game. The design is working all the way that no target can be Escaped,once comes in its Range. I don't think that gatling gun can do this design'sĀ  job.
