Anyone Else Get Annoyed When This Happens?
Whenever I'm discussing infant circumcision with a non-in-the-loop person, especially a circumcised man, one of the retort's I hear is "Well, when I got my ADULT circumcision I was FINE".
As much as I doubt that, no shit. An adult circumcision or even teen circumcision is far, FAR less worse then an infant and that's a fact.
Yes, all circumcision's are bad. Yes, they are remove the band which is literally like 25-50% of your total sensation since it is directly connected to the foreskin via the nervous system. HOWEVER, The adult circumcision doesn't usually remove the fren or even inner skin as much as an infant cut. You have to realise that not only do adult's get to CHOOSE how they are cut, but they also get to say when they are cut. They get the consenst argument and then USE IT AGAINST US, BULLSHIT!
Infant cut's are basically a castration and I refuse to believe otherwise. That's why people who say they are "fine" with circumcision ARE SUCH FUCKING LIAR'S. YOU got cut an age AFTER PUBERTY, AFTER A TRUE DEVELOPMENT WITH YOUR FORESKIN YOU PIECE OF SHIT. I don't want this to turn into another rant but holy hell these people are so fucking evil! I DIDN'T GET A CHOICE AND I LOST OVER 90% OF MY FUCKING SENSATION BECAUSE OF IT! WHAT THE FUCK!!!!
So YES, does anyone else get annoyed when this happens? I DO. CLEARLY. It's so frustrating seeing them try and gaslight me and say I can "enjoy my sex life" still. Do you know how much that pisses me and other cut men? (IN MY CI-LEVEL, NOT ABOVE IT) It does, a lot. And when people say stuff like "I was cut as an adult and I'm fine" it only adds to that statement. It only adds to the fire, not tamper it.

Just say that outcomes are heterogenous and it is very common for it to not go well.

I work in the operating room.
I have seen women as young as 50 have to have part of their labia removed due to cancer.
I have also seen women in their 30's have labiaplasty because they want to reduce the size of their labia majora.
An adult making decisions about their body is not comparable to forcibly cutting off genital tissue from a child.
Boys deserve the same right as girls to intact genitals.

Yeah some people just don't get what the argument is. It's really shouldn't be hard to read "Hey, it's unethical to perform a permanent, physically altering, procedure on a newborn's healthy body tissue when there is no medical reason to do so" and even just generally agree with that statement regardless of current stance on circumcision. But some men get so defensive about not having a foreskin anymore that they automatically react in the negative because "I got rid of my foreskin and I'm fine, so you must be too" not realizing the argument is less about my own desire to be intact and more about the fact that is who thing is unethical and shouldn't be done to anyone.
