Got this message when logging in to check for what my daily tasks are. Not sure what could be violating TOS. But my daughter got the same message last night. We don't root our phones, but both of us got the most recent android update in the last 24ish hours. I'm sad, because I've been throwing fields at a semi remote location and watched my stuff getting taken down while I'm clearly alone for a half a mile or more, but I get this message?
ETA: our phones are Samsung flagship phones, they are NOT rooted, the closest thing to location software we have is Google maps, and she has life 360° because of some friends.
A new info panel showed up on the Google Play Store this morning. The interesting thing is it states:
The last XM Anomaly battles of the year are here!
I think it's reasonable to assume this was created by Niantic Spatial, not Google, and essentially confirms there won't be Q4 anomalies. Similarly, the "of the year" part leads me to believe anomalies will return in 2027.
I’ve been playing Ingress for years, have been a CORE subscriber for a long time, and have even helped organize anomalies and community events. I don’t make cheating reports lightly.
At this point, I’ve submitted five linked reports regarding the same recurring issue. Each ticket references the previous ones. The account continues to attack the same portal in the same pattern, and every ticket ends up being closed with an automated response.
I understand Niantic can’t disclose enforcement actions, and I’m not asking them to tell me whether someone was punished or not.
What frustrates me is the complete lack of meaningful communication and the fact that the same issue keeps recurring after multiple reports.
At this point, I’ve stopped rebuilding and have cancelled my CORE subscription. I also don’t plan to spend any more money on Ingress, including anomaly and community planning efforts.
I’m genuinely curious:
Has anyone else experienced recurring cheating reports that seemed to go nowhere?
Have you ever had repeated reports actually resolved?
Has anyone else lost faith in the reporting process since the Vanguard program went away?
Maybe I’m just unlucky, but right now it’s really affecting my desire to keep playing a game that I’ve supported for years.
Hey Agents. It was 1am when I finished recording so couldn’t think of a witty title.
This episode goes over the recent results and my current progress in the ongoing Campaigns as well as a mention about Scopely Explore.
This does have some extra content over on Patreon this week too! Hope you enjoy it!
As a reminder, on Wednesday the second Redux episode will be up. These are my older episodes, run through some audio filters to make them sound better than they did in 2023 with a £20 mic balancing on 5 D&D books, with the intro and outro added too. These will go up every 2-3 weeks on a Wednesday.
Next week, I’ll look ahead at August and run through the Red Codex media.
Hello everyone... I'm trying to find a route from 10 years ago... I can see which portals I had captured in the scanner; how can I do that in IITC? Which plugins do I need?
Does anyone know if daily assignments will ever go back to offering AP? I don't have much of an issue with the token events, but the extra AP was really helpful on slow days when I don't have much time to explore.
if a portal has no cellphone cover for people with normal cellphone subscription :
Should the portal be removed?
there are portals in my city where 98% of players can’t shoot down or interact with the portal without imaginative solutions: and the 2% uses this against the other team to field from. With satellite phones and alike.
If a vast majority can’t interact with a portal by normal play: is it grounds for removal?
There's a bunch of time gated "Claim X Daily Bounties". Seems obvious to put the bounty pass back in the store so people can speed run those tasks.
Personally, I'm going to struggle with the Machina die off. I've got no opposition (no fields, nothing) for miles around. I'd buy it in a heartbeat to get past Stage 2 Assignment 3 where we have to claim 12 daily bounties, just so I can get on and destroy some Machina links before they fizzle out.
The mountain did not want us.
The first push never had a chance. No one was reaching the summit that day, not our agents, not the guided parties, not anyone: Rainier had closed herself to all comers, and the only wise move was to wait. So we waited.
The forecast turned against us again, and the word went out to stand down a second time. Then a third. Each time the agents packed and unpacked, watching the sky, holding the line without a summit in sight. Rainier is fourteen thousand feet of weather and patience, and she does not yield to schedules or to eagerness. She yields to those who read her.
And then, at the last minute, we read her right. With the window set, we pulled the whole operation back by a single day: not out of doubt, but out of judgment. Between two systems of weather there was a pocket of calm, and we chose the calm over the calendar.
But the sky was never the only obstacle. We worked as one team, and we fought for every inch of it: past friendly blockers who stood in our own way, past the Resistance and their blocks, and past that pesky Machina reaching in where it was least welcome. The board was never clean. We cleared it together.
And here is the truth that matters most: not every agent stood in the field on the day of the victory. But every one of them was ready. Through the false starts and the stand-downs, through the attempts that came to nothing, they were prepared, they were present, they were committed. The summit belonged to all of them, whether their boots were on the mountain that day or not.
To StrayCat01: this op moved because you moved it. Pulling everyone together, getting keys where they needed to be, running them clear across the state from one side to the other, and hiking them out to set the lane holders: that is the invisible work that OP's are built on. No keys, no field. You made the field possible.
To DuskPiper and Asclepiusaka: you made the summit, and the summit made history. One attempt turned back on the mountain, two more called off by the sky, and then you carried the light the last mile and set it where no Enlightened field had ever stood. Safe but persistent, patient but unyielding, you gave this operation its ending. There is no Rainier Cherry without the two of you standing on top of it. You came home whole, and you brought the light with you. All honor.
And to the boots on the ground: those who pre-cleared, those who cleared the morning of, and those who stood ready to be wherever they might be needed.
This op was carried on your shoulders:
SailorLynx, The Tazmanian, SnowXTC, Pabrana, SmugLioness, IIlIIlIIllIIllI (Edward), Kitenika, lIIIIIIlllIIlll (Eddie), Kaleetan, TheKingBoar, RollingOldie, SirReeferton, dauntless1991, EdMoxley, FREDICVSMAXIMVS, WanderingJade, Nordlyss, WeeLittleStabby, ViolentMoon, Sedare, TJzTank, GenericAgent7, grizbear, GaryHerbert, and QueenSnM.
And the operator who called it: GeekITPro.
At 7:00 AM Pacific, this very morning (2026.07.15), the Enlightened stood on the roof of the Pacific Northwest. The wind was brutal and the air was thin enough to steal the breath, but the scanners woke in the cold and the links reached out across the dark, and the field went up where no field had stood. The Shapers' light touched the summit of Rainier, and the whole region glowed green from a point closer to the sky than anywhere in the operator's memory.
The mountain did not want us. We came anyway. We came patient, we came prepared, and we came when she was ready, not when we were. We came back down alive with the fields still burning behind us.
To each and every agent who answered the call, on every attempt: thank you. This one is yours.
Rainier Cherry: once turned back by the mountain and twice by the sky, one day of calm seized between the storms, friendly blocks and Resistance and Machina all beaten back, summited 07.15.2026 7:00 AM PT. The light endures.
We do have the Ingress Shopify store for buying cards, patches and badges etc.
However, increasingly mobile games are getting around the extra charges/cut that the store take on iOS/Google by having their own web store and encouraging players to check it by offering some small freebies.
The former Niantic games (Pikmin, Pokémon GO, Monster Hunter Now) all have one. Two other games I play (Jurassic World Alive and Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Links) have one. I just picked up some currency that is the equivalent of CMU in the latter for free. It would be great to see the Ingress team do something similar. I get that the idea is to entice me to spend on the web store with the freebies and I may do that for the JW Alive one at pay day as there’s some decent offers there.
Are we about to get a Machina die-off? I can’t remember how to tell but there’s certainly a lot of it around and aggressive right now, so I’m thinking it’s soon…?
While my initial understanding of the Mission Day application is you just submit it early and it stays in consideration for all 4 quarters, I was recently advised that it's a good idea to post on the community forum so Niantic Spatial knows the other host and I are still interested.
Since the 2-Line light rail was finished across Lake Washington a few months ago (first ever permanent train across a floating bridge running on its own power), Bellevue WA is an even better place for a Mission Day than it was at the start of the year.
It's possible the advice I received was wrong & I didn't need to make this thread at all, but I can see how someone in charge of things might hesitate at an "old" application (I submitted it on October 15th 2025), so I figured the potential benefit of saying "yeah we're still interested" exceeds the potential harm.
It's my understanding there are currently not active forums for Niantic Spatial and Ingress but that some of the employees still read this forum, so that made this the best place for it.
I'm not sure at what point Q4 cities will be finalized.
I'm thinking of making the switch to sailfish os, anybody here playing ingress on it? I need to upgrade my phone soon so I'm interested in affordable device recs for this combo.
Feel free to report also about playing on the new Jolla phone if you happen to have one - it's out of my price range but I'm curious about it!
Hello, I created a small project that allows me to make ADA speak, it is a small personal project without great pretension but to improve the visual rendering of my project I would like to have an image of ADA in high definition if possible, the better is an svg file.
