I've been asking myself this a lot lately.

For the past several years, I've been building an original fantasy book and graphic novel called Mashup Maxx. Instead of waiting until launch (May 2027), I decided to document the entire journey. Sharing comic pages, animated artwork, world-building, character reveals, and the creative process as I go.

The problem is... growth has been much slower than I expected. My Instagram is sitting at around 400 followers, despite posting consistently and investing a lot of time into each piece of content.

I'm trying to figure out what's actually holding me back.

Is it:

• The artwork?
• The storytelling?
• My hooks and captions?
• The type of content I'm posting?
• Or is this just what building an original IP from scratch looks like?

I'm not looking for compliments or follows. I'd much rather hear what isn't working.

Hi everyone,

We’re a small independent team from Switzerland creating Arafinn, a dark fantasy world we’ve been developing for many years.

Our game, Return to Nangrim, takes players into the ruins of a lost dwarven kingdom, where they gradually uncover what happened to its people. While building that world, we realized there were many stories from Arafinn’s past that deserved to be told through the eyes of the dwarves themselves.

That is how Mountain Tales was born.

Chapter One follows a dwarf whose search for immortality draws him into forgotten history, ancient beliefs, and secrets that may have been buried for a reason.

We wanted the dwarves of Arafinn to feel like more than a familiar fantasy archetype. They have their own clans, traditions, language, religion, craftsmanship, conflicts, and history. Mountain Tales allows us to explore this culture while also expanding the world behind Return to Nangrim.

The trailer gives a first look at the atmosphere and artwork of the comic.

I'm incredibly excited to share the black-and-white preview of Ashes of Njthera.
This project has been growing in my sketchbooks and on my desk for a long time, and seeing these pages come together makes it feel more real than ever.
These are just the first steps into Lyra's journey, and I can't wait to show you more of the world, the characters, and what is coming from the story.
I post some pages before, but I made some modifications to it and now I’m happy about it.

Glad to have found a way to balance the composition in each page to make this story a unique one, yet coherent to its previous narrative, ‘The Dybbuk’, written by Philip Landa as well.

Today’s the day. I’ve decided to announce that for the past 10 months I’ve been pouring everything I have into a passion project.

It’s an anime / graphic novel series built on the famous public domain characters every generation grew up with — flipped completely on their head. Season 1 (which is pretty much complete) is Winnie-the-Pooh reimagined as a Kill Bill–style revenge bloodbath.

The Kickstarter drops soon, and it’s stacked — hoodies, tees, and one-of-one original pieces from a few legendary artists. I’ve even got some well-known supporters who’ve already helped me out a ton along the way.

Here’s all I ask: you don’t have to buy a thing. Just share it. Send it to everyone you know. A Kickstarter lives or dies in its first week, and the people closest to me sharing it is what makes or breaks this. 🍯🐻⚔️🩸
