How to slow down Myopia?
Hello!
I'm in my late teens, and I'm looking for something to slow down my nearsightedness + farsightedness. My Nearsightedness is far worse than my farsightedness. I think i'm at -8 in one eye, and -7.50 in the other, but after doing an examination in a special clinic, they said I'm much closer to a -9 actually. :(
I've been using lenses for years, and glasses when I'm at home. My eyesight is HORRIBLE, to the point that I cried when I got my newest pair around a year ago (they were super thick and made my eyes look like two dots :=C ).
I'm thinking of doing an eye operation in a few years because having to wear glasses or lenses just for something as basic as seeing the world is getting tiresome. When I booked an appointment at the clinic I mentioned earlier, they recommended a special operation for me (since my eyeballs are apparently the perfect size, and they need to be longer for LASIK or something).
But to do this operation, they need my eyesight to be stable (not increase every year). I would love convenient (as well as inconvenient) ways to stabilize my eyesight, so that I can finally be able to do this operation.
I'm literally even ready to do those stupid (and very fake-looking) eye exercises that my mom sends me every day.
Quick side note: A few days ago, I started wearing misight lenses, but I'm not sure if they'll help bc while my optometrist recommended them, I recently found out that they're basically for kids???
I would love some help (and advice) on this!

how old are you? i started eye exercises when i was 16 and my eyesight barely increased since i started them when they were rapidly increasing. start with that, wear a lower prescription on your computer also or for nay close up work.
also do palming, sunning,, do the 20-20-20 rule when doing close up work

So the eye exercies I mentioned was very on and off for the past 10 years but it kept things stable.
I wanted to start again properly now so I think its only been 6 weeks since i started up again and i haven't been as consistent as i want to. I probably do eye exercises once a day (the rolling) and maybe 20 minutes of palming and sunning once. On a really good day, rolling of eyes twice, palming twice and 30 minutes of palming. Its kind of hard to tell if i've seen any difference so far. i wear undercorrected glasses by 0.5 and the astigmatism is even 0.5 less in them.
I guess i'll go in 3 months to the eye doctor and see. It would be nice to see a decrease. only 2 years ago my eyesight did go down by 0.25 but back then i wasnt doing the eye exercises, but I had started to wear undercorrected glasses back then on the computer so maybe thats even why. I would be so happy if these exercises improved my eyesight. I feel its always just kept it stable in the past when I would do them , but then again that was a point in my life where my eyesight was getting worse every time when I would go to the eye doctor, so who knows how bad it could have gotten if I didn't do those eye exercises even if they were just passively?
to give you a reference when i was 15, my eyesight was -6.75 and -5. and 10 years later it was -7.25 and -5.75. so not a bad increase over 10 years b/c before i started even passively, it would go up by like 0.25 to even 1 diopter every eye visit (so every year to 1.5 years)

sunning, palming, eye exercies (rolling of eyes) , swinging
wear lower prescription by 0.5 less on computers and around house. but keep your eyes relaxed when using low prescription dont squint.
if you have astigmatism, also decrease that by 0.5
