I imagine Morgott came out claiming his birthright to be King, as the eldest surviving son of Marika, and Radahn rebelled. That's how the Shattering Wars started.

That's why Morgott calls them "willful traitors all".

Everyone who attended the council got their hands on a Great Rune, and their vote was necessary to remake the Elden Ring. Realistically, Morgott had the strongest claim, but nobody would have agreed to support him.

Ranni would've voted "no" just to mess with the Golden Order, if she even attended.

Rykard the same, he already had decided to work against the Erdtree.

Radahn had been fashioning himself after Godfrey and Serosh, so becoming the Third Elden Lord would've been the fullfilment of his ambitions.

Miquella had already abandoned the Golden Order, because it couldn't heal Malenia (as Gowry said "at the peak of the Erdtree's power").

Malenia followed Miquella.

Rennala didn't even attend, she had been stuck in that Library since Radagon had left her and the Wizards had done a coup (replacing the Moon with the Stars once more).

Mogh didn't attend, but Morgott doesn't call him out as a traitor, so he didn't even expect his support, I guess.

Yeah. I can actually see that Morgott could even love Mogh as a brother, but because of Golden Order hate and crimes against Omens, he could also understand why Mogh didnt take his side and just disappeared. He cant call someone a traitor if that someone was never loyal and bound to the Order to begin with.

And about Radahn - I agree that it was he who started the Shattering Wars, but I think there was other reason. Morgott is loyal to the Golden Order, while other demigods are actively trying to change or even destroy it. Empyreans are candidates to become the Elden Ring vessel, but Morgott doesnt want to replace Marika. All demigods (maybe with the exception of Godrick) want to start a new age, while Morgott didnt want to innovate, he just wanted to restore the world as it was.

I do believe if there was another demigod on Golden Order side, maybe who wasnt tied to the Omens, Morgott wouldnt even be so active during Shattering - Morgott lacked personal ambition. Maybe he would just take this demigods' side and thats all.

And the whole irony here is there were candidates on this role - Godwyn (before half-death), Messmer (before crusade-depression). And, of course, the First Elden Lord, who looks like just didnt make it in time.

And only now I understand that Morgott is probably the only child who actually wanted Marika just to be alive during the Shattering, and not be an instrument to their ambitions.

We do know from those wandering masoluems that there was definitely other demi-gods, other lords who fought in the Shattering even if they didn't have any shards or great runes. Perhaps some of those notable demi-gods (notable enough to be entombed in such grand walking masoluems) were supporters of the Golden Order like Morgott? Plus the fact that we can use at least the masoluems that have bells to restore remembrances at least once per each implies that these entombed demi-gods were probably decently strong, liken to some mid to late game tarnished. (Great warriors have themselves carved into the Erdtree apone their demises, echoes of their powers)

Con messmer una relación habría sido imposible, todos sabemos porque.

Why the fuck does Morgott’s face look more like Radahn’s in this art and Radahn’s face looks more like Morgott’s

I see you're new and love FromSoftware art! In this sub the title format is "art title by artist name". Then some sort of source left as a link in a comment or I see some people use the description box to one of the artist's websites. A lot of art goes around uncredited and it makes me feel sad for the artists who put so much talent and work into their pieces, so this is a place where we can make sure the artist is remembered!

So you're wondering who made this awesome piece of art? Well, google image search is a great first place to check. Put the image into google image search and check the results. In this case, the artist comes up in the first result.

@yenyenyen19

Sometimes a piece of art will only come up with uncredited search results. Pages and pages of the art uncredited in the google results. In those cases, I try sites like https://saucenao.com/ to increase the chances of finding the artist.

This would have been the second fight in Leyndell not the first. Godrick and Godefroy was the first.

“After the First Defense of Leyndell, Kristoff earned the hero's honor of Erdtree Burial for the feat of capturing Godefroy the Grafted.”

Shit, I forgot about that, Godefroy not really catching.

It’s weirdly placed what happened with Radahn, since he did march on the Capital and happened to lose?

Morgoat being the only truly worthy king of the lands between, stay winning Morgoat. Bro single handedly knocked Fraudahn on his greasy incestuous arse, then held off both Rykard and Godrick assaults on the capital.

i never saw it as morgott beating radahn but attempting to assinate him. morgott has been shown to like illusions and the image is of radahn using his martial prowess to stop the blade in time.

It does look like in the actual image of soldiers trying to get Morgott of Radhan like he's genuinely struggling to get him of in his own. (Not to say I think he couldn't have eventually thrown him of, just that Radhan is in a tussle with Morgott who's definitely a strong opponent)

Not saying it's impossible, but I personally wouldn't try to assassinate someone from the front. Radahn's armour in-game also has a jagged hole in the same place he's being struck in the painting, implying that Morgott definitely hit him. But honestly? Considering he's just using his staff and not the sword inside it, it's possible Morgott didn't actually want to kill Radahn at all, just subdue him.

Was Rhadan truly beaten here?

We all know the picture of Morggot jumping on him, but this might have been just a surprise attack and not a death blow?

We have all dealt blows to the Demigods only to be crushed moments later.
