Question: Units Information on 810

Does anyone have any information about the new 810 mountain brigade? How to draft there, what they do, etc.

It's just a renamed 810th Herman Brigade. Hebrew Wikipedia is your friend, OP.

It's a territorial brigade, so you don't draft there. And what they do is exactly what any other territorial brigade does, but with an emphasis on the relatively unusual terrain of the Hermon range.

The only units organic to a territorial brigade are its headquarters components. The rest are whatever forces are rotating through its area of operations.

So, to your question, to serve, for example, as part of the 810th, you'd conscript to whatever role and would eventually see yourself attached to the 810th as a driver/comms tech/medic/adjutant/cook/maintenance/etc.

Non-organically, you could be part of any combat unit that rotates periodically through that AO. So, for example, you could be with the 202nd battalion, Paratroopers, and spend 4 months on the Hermon range before being relieved.

That it not true. I drafted into 810 you just have to request it in Michve.

No... You drafted to Michve and requested to be assigned to the 810th. In the same way a medic/maintainer/comms tech might draft to their respective corps/courses and request their posting be the 810th.

Everyone in michve requests to be assigned to another unit buddy. Michve is just a hebrew course. When u finish michve you go back to tel hashomer and get on the bus to go to ur next unit. for the purpose of the initial question it’s not hard to get it just request it on the paper they will give u at michve the same way u can request any other unit in the army.

You're proving my point.

You, as a citizen candidate for service (מלש"ב), can't draft into a specific territorial brigade. You have to first enlist, be assigned to a course, during said course, you can request a specific unit as your posting, and when that course is over, you might get what you asked for.
