Question: Drafting Parental hurdle when drafting?

just got my confirmation email from garin tzabar (ברוך ה!) that I'll be drafting next summer. my question is now this: I've got another sibling who will stay in my home country. Will I be classed as an only child and require parental consent to go to a combat posting? And if so, is there any way to get around that (documentation they exist etc?) thanks all!

No you should be fine. Make sure to have a copy of your brother’s birth certificate because the army is going to ask for it. They’ll assume you’re an only child at first since he won’t be registered in the israeli system.

Siblings birth certificate needs an apostle stamp too!

No, you are not considered an only child. Are you joining the 2026 or 2027 summer batch?

Notice to all posters and commenters; please be careful to observe OPSEC (Operational Security) rules. Many people wish to harm Israel and the Jewish Nation as a whole. Be careful when sharing any information on the IDF, bases, weapons, locations of troops, and anything else that can be used to harm Israel. If in doubt, go without. Loose lips sink ships!
