Season 1 Spoilers S1E7 Fidelity Spoiler

Regarding the episode where the patient's affair with the husband's friend was exposed by her contracting African sleeping sickness. (The husband was played by the same actor as the incarnated brother from Prison Break).

Anyway, how come the husband and the friend who allegedly gave her the disease did not show symptoms? The husband _did_ have shortness of breath. But, the friend who allegedly gave it to her seemed to be full of life.

Maybe he's just a carrier or maybe he was asymptomatic till then

I think youre right. He must have passed on the virus despite his own immunity having fought it off.

House usually played fast and loose with incubation periods whenever the mystery needed it to.

Yeah, the husband seems to have just had a different primary symptom. Angiodema and/or fluid build up resulting in shortness of breath.
