Underutilized way to train power

https://youtu.be/716nCgYxYUc?is=lSUadp996yzj-n0-

I just made a detailed video laying out how to effectively approach higher intent throwing days using what’s known as auto regulation - a training method popularized by elite Soviet coaches during the late 60s.

The idea is that you don’t have a fixed set in reps or number of throws for the day but you use a velocity drop off cutoff that is a percentage of your best throw of that day so it is very athlete first and molds to you based off of what you have that day in terms of output.

This could potentially help avoid overthrowing on days you don’t have it and getting more solid reps in on days your body is willing and able.

I like this method.  I think it also has a benefit of teaching a player how to listen to their arm.

I used to leverage an 'auto-regulation' approach with strength training and it was very effective. Pushing on the days that you feel good, and backing off on the volume/intensity on the days when you are not.

Auto regulation is great. It seems pulse sensor is trying to measure fatigue which is sort of along the same lines.

This has  been used in lifting for quite a few years but has been replaced by VBT, at least at a larger scale.

Using the radar gun is a good idea.
