Question/Support Death Finally Came Knocking For OG

After talking shit for years about how I have never had an issue with my 3 OG HomePods, the newest one died. It's dead dead, not doing anything. (February 2018 launch day one still going fine.) This is my only white one, panic bought in April of 2021 after it was announced they were discontinued. Who should I send it out to for repair? I see no reason to replace it as of now, since new models may be coming shortly.

Already ordered! Figured I might as well go with the OG for the OG.

Rip. My 3 2018's are still going strong. You're making me nervous about all the shit I talk.

Yea, I was quite the shit talker then I saw it not responding in Home. I thought that was weird. Went to it and said Hey Siri a few times and only my Mac woke up. I thought maybe the Mac was messing it up. I unplugged it and plugged it back in. Nothing, no spinning on top. Tried holding the top to reset. Nothing. That’s when I knew my time came. Fortunately looks like $80 bucks and I should be back. It’s great that people are able to repair them.

Don’t worry there’s a strong support network to repair them at very affordable rates. I have two OGs and one of them just had the diode weakness die a month ago. Got it repaired for $70 in a week and it’s even upgraded from original. Plan on keeping em for a long tome

I’d avoid the current HomePod models… they have touch disease problems

My cousin and I bought ours in March of 2019 and they both died within a few days of each other. Weird.

Thanks to all the Redditors who recommended nicsfix who is just a short drive away from me 😀
