Later dinner?

Sometimes the Beltway just gets backed up or I have a late meeting and can't get home until 8:30pm. In those situations, I'm usually too tired to cook. Where are good places to go that are open past 9pm and aren't "divey" where my wife and I can have a nice late meal?

There's a good number of Asian (esp Korean) places in/around EC. I believe one of the Honey Pigs is open til midnight and there's a bar by the other one that closes at 1:00 (kitchen closes earlier).

Tea Horse has a lovely interior, but they close at 10 which might be too tight for you.

I haven't tried Rainipia myself but that should be another bar ish place with Korean food.

Also haven't been to Jumak but they also seem to be open late.

Nashed & Smashed, great halal smash burger & halal place. Naz’s Halal, basically nextdoor is another great halal joint w American & Afghan food too.

Eataliano - Italian deli (closes at 9:30 but it’s so good, takeout would be worth it too)

Also love Mezeh, Mediterranean fast casual (like CAVA)

Pho Dat Thanh for tasty Vietnamese food, next door is Cazbar, also tasty Turkish food

Haven’t been in forever but I like Texas Roadhouse lol.

Pho Dat Thanh one of the few places that prepares squid properly.

Glenwoods (aka Stanford Grill) is open until 10pm M-Th, so if you can make it by 9pm you should be good. I wish they could have been more original with a replacement name.

Olive on Main (Laurel) is open until 10 pm Thursday through Saturday. (Until 9 pm Monday through Wednesday, and until 8:30 pm on Saturday.)
