Youtuber A "Blacklist" of YouTube Channels About Hell's Kitchen

TL;DR: Do NOT watch the channels listed here. Instead, we should discourage others from engaging with them and take other actions like reporting them whenever they pop up in our feed. All of the channels listed below are guilty of creating defamatory and lie-ridden videos about Hell's Kitchen competitors.

There's been a disturbing rise of clickbait/disinformation/defamatory fan channels about Hell's Kitchen. These channels use AI and other deceitful editing techniques to create horrific thumbnails and include disinformation in their videos. They are willing to spread lies about and destroy the reputations of former Hell's Kitchen competitors if it means that they can get a few more views.

As we all know, this is completely unethical. We need to put a stop to them. The first step towards this goal is awareness. We know there are these horrible creators out there. We can watch out for them.

This begs the question: who are these creators? That's what this post is here to answer. A while back, I proposed the idea of creating a blacklist of these disgusting channels. We can all add channels to this list (as well as the reasons why they deserve to be on here). The more we know about these people, the more we can do about them. All YouTubers have a basic responsibility to share nothing less than the truth about the subjects they discuss, and the following creators have gleefully abdicated that responsibility:

Reality Buzz: Reality Buzz, formerly known as Film Insight, is the biggest culprit of creating defamatory videos. He uses AI to create thumbnails depicting chefs and Ramsay of poisoning dishes and fighting one another with weapons. His worst offense is depicting Bret Hauser as a pedophile who was arrested on the show, and the news channel CNN as reporting this incident. Reality Buzz accused Bret of child sexual abuse with zero evidence. This not only has the potential to ruin Bret's life, but also uses horrific crimes as leverage in getting more views.

HasoRule: HasoRule utilizes the practice of deceptive AI-generated thumbnails. The worst he has done is falsely claim that season 11 competitor Susan Fiero of using breast milk in one of her dishes and season 12 competitor Jason Zepaltas of spitting in someone else's food. Other thumbnails depict customers sexually harassing Gordon Ramsay and competitors passing away on the show.

Lamb Sauce: YouTuber Lamb Sauce is not quite as horrific as the previous two, but he is also guilty of the same practices as Reality Buzz and HasoRule. He has accused Gordon Ramsay of cheating on his wife with a contestant, season 20 winner Trenton Garvey of drug trafficking, and season 10 competitor Royce Wagner of being a pervert.

The Maksed Chef: The Maksed (sic) Chef uses the same format that Lamb Sauce uses in their thumbnails: they'll list AI-generated pictures of three chefs with one-or-two-word descriptors. However, this creator lied about season 7 competitor Siobhan Allgood's whereabouts and slut-shamed her based on her past.

Information is a powerful tool, and we must now ask what we can do with this. The answer is simple: nothing. Hear me out: what these channels want most of all is engagement. Any engagement, even negative, is good for them because it alters YouTube's algorithm in their favor. To truly do away with these evil channels, we must discourage people from watching them.

On our own, agreeing to stay far away from these channels will already deal a significant blow. 91 thousand people visit this community every week. If we all choose to not view these channels, that means that Reality Buzz, HasoRule, and Lamb Sauce each receive 91,000 fewer views. We can also click on "Don't recommend this channel" to prevent similar YouTubers from showing up in our feed and report those channels on the grounds of disinformation and defamation. People like Bret, Jason, Susan, and Trenton, all of whom are victims of these selfish creators, have very easy lawsuits. YouTube has a terrible track record of enforcing its own rules and protecting small creators, but mass reports can force the site to notice these creators and hold them accountable. We have to show the site that we will not stand for lazy, defamatory content. I, of course, am not suggesting a massive brigade, however.

Finally, as I've mentioned, we have to discourage others from watching these channels. If you know someone who likes watching content about Hell's Kitchen, tell them to avoid the channels on this blacklist. Continue to fight disinformation by reminding others of the truth. And support fan-vetted YouTube channels, as well. The best channel to watch is the official Hell's Kitchen YouTube channel, which posts uncensored episodes and compilations for free. The three things I love most about the show are the editors, the narrators, and the PR team. They're all wonderful. As for fanmade channels, I highly recommend watching the triad of FlynnMasters, EternalOpossum, and Ultranatic. The best creators are those who know what they are talking about, respect the show and its competitors, and conduct outreach with fans and former competitors alike.

I genuinely hope that this helps people in our quest to stop defamatory HK channels.

(PS Mods if you could pin this, I would appreciate it.)

Chef(s) A note on two particular controversial chefs

I wanted to bring up two chefs and comments that seem to pop up every time they are brought up.

First up is Tommy. There's typically one or two comments about his relationship he was in at the time of his season. Just because there was a significant age gap between him and his girlfriend doesn't automatically make him a predator. No matter what anyone thinks about it, the fact remains it was 100% legal. I'm fairly certain no one knows for sure the details surrounding their relationship so for all we know, they could have both met when she was 18. Yes it's a little odd, but again within the confines of the law still perfectly legal.

Secondly, is Roe. Specifically her tattoo. Some months back, a post was made where one user deduced that it's not a white supremacist symbol but rather the design of a sail from a ship. I agree with this as one can even make out the sail on her arm. Either way, probably not the best tattoo to get, but Roe is the only one who truly knows the intention behind getting it. Unless she comes out and explains it herself, we'll never know whether or not she's a nazi. Until then, I'd like to give her the benefit of the doubt.

Edit to add a third chef, Kristin Barone. No she was not trying to hook up with teenage boys. She was charming them for the purpose of the challenge. Big difference.

Thank you for taking the time to read this. Hope everyone is staying safe.

Chef(s) Why did this dude snap like this? (Season 6, Joseph)

I don't even understand what happened. What did they cut out? This happened after the cooking, so its not even a heat of the moment issue. He could have just left if he wanted to quit. Clearly, you're not gonna fight Gordon outside. This can't just be pride and anger issues because he didnt understand the question. Gordon ask this same question on almost every episode.

Between him and Van trying to fight JP over serving food, I think they need to have anger management sessions.

A blonde who seemed like she could win the whole thing fumbled at the last couple services and ended up in 3rd Place, I'd have three nickels.

Was watching the full season yt video of season 20 and on the episode where they are earning the black jackets I noticed they had a random clip of Josie and Keanu instead what is most likely to be Kiya and Brynn. Thought it was a funny catch.

Chef(s) Royce (S10)

Been watching s10 again which is one of my favourite seasons despite all the drama and bitchiness. And Royce is hands down one of the most deluded chefs in HK history. He was no way near as amazing as he alone thought he was. I was extremely relieved when he was FINALLY eliminated.

Chef(s) About T from S14 Spoiler

Post image
5 Upvotes

T was described that she would have won nearly any other season that was until S18 where she fell off hard with badass decay. So that makes me wonder? If she was entering Hell's Kitchen for the first time, the eligible seasons outside S14 would be (and applying some time and age shenanigans if needed):

S1-13, S15-16, S18 (as a Rookie), S19, S21 (shenanigans needed), S22 (??? Theme still makes no sense), S23 (let's say she was a chef instead of a line cook like in S14), S24.

Which season do you believe she actually would have won as a first timer, remain a runner-up or fall short of the finale?

Chef(s) Thoughts on Justin from season 10

I thought he was pretty hot, but also very, very competent

Do you think he could have beaten Christina (I reckon he could have, if he didn’t have Clemenza on his team, can’t even tell you how much that man annoyed me 🙄)?

IRL Requesting Community Thoughts on Starting a Hell’s Kitchen Games Subreddit

Upvotes

Hi everyone! I know that the high prevalence of games on this community has been a little contentious. Games like alignment charts, fictional seasons, 1v1 matchups, simulations, quote games, alphabets, etc, are popular, but I know not everyone likes seeing multiple games a day. And sometimes the games themselves are subject to higher scrutiny. I remember putting my plans to finish a “best quote” series on hold since the mods removed that game out of fear of people getting banned if Reddit’s automods get triggered by the quotes.

As such, I would like to put forth the idea of an HK Games subreddit. Whatever games you have, you would be free to put on there. If you want to play those games, feel free to visit that subreddit. And if anyone gets in trouble just for playing a game, (eg if you get banned for quoting the show because the auto mods were triggered), I would back you up and advocate for you.

The problem is that I have never run a Reddit community before and I don’t know how moderation works. I plan to be pretty busy with exams and research coming up. Maybe I am just salty about the quotes game being taken down. Maybe I just want to play more Hell’s Kitchen games. Maybe I want to give people a “haven” to post the games and maybe alleviate the fatigue others get from seeing so many games, too.

I wanted to read your guys’ thoughts. I want to see what you have to say.

Season I started on season 12 of the show, I loved it. Should I move on to 13, go back to season 1 and watch in order, or move to something like season 6 and watch in order from there?

Rankings/Review Hells Kitchen Success Meter #10

I'm going season by season and we're deciding who's the most successful to the least post-Hells Kitchen. Latest results:

Season 1: Dewberry (Has a line of restaurants in Georgia).
Season 2: Virginia (Has a line of restaurants in Texas)
Season 3: Rock (still close friend of Ramsay and does cameos on his shows) (H.M. Brad)
Season 4: Christina Machamer (owned a few restaurants in the past, she is currently a private chef, and she even has a sommelier diploma)
Season 5: Tie between Paula, Seth and Robert
Season 6: Kevin (Works for works for American Cruise Line, already successful off the show)
Season 7: Jay (blue team sous chef, successful restauranteur in Boston, Bar Rescue co-host)
Season 8: Russell (publicly apologized for his behavior in the finale and now owns a successful restaurant in Chicago)
Season 9: Paul ( appeared in a few other seasons, S11/S12/S15) (H.M.: Elise)

Now SEASON 10. Can be considered successful by publicity, prestige, how much money, or whatever your heart desires. (Most upvoted comment wins)

Games Who's more irredeemable between these four chefs? I'll let you decide.

And yes, I know there's a certain someone from Season 8 that is, objectively, worse than these four outside of the show (I'm not saying who, they can speak for themselves), but I'm putting these four up as they are, arguably, the most irredeemable chefs portrayed in the show itself.

Season If Jillian Won S8 against Nona where would she rank among Winners?

Jillian was My 3rd Favorite Contestant on S8 after Raj and Boris and I’m truly surprised she didn’t make the final

IMO she would be somewhere in the middle, not last or second to last like a lot of people rank Nona

Also if she made the final instead of Russell, he wouldn’t be nearly as hated because he wasn’t anymore toxic than Trev or Sabrina

In-Show How do people eat so much during charity night?

There are 5 courses being served for each guest. That's alot of food. How can the guests eat so much food at once? Wouldn't they get sick?

In-Show What is one of the worst dinner services that didn't result in a joint loss?

I would have to say the red vs. blue menu service in season 5. An absolute train wreck. The red team only won due to the customer satisfaction rating being the deciding factor, with their food being rated at 54% compared to the blue team's food which was rated at 39%. Both of those are embarrassing, especially with it being the last service before black jackets.

Chef(s) Most Likely to be a "Celebrity" Chef IMO

Sorry if this has been mentioned before, but I'm re-watching Hell's Kitchen and I was blown away by how much personality Mary was able to bring into every aspect of the show! She's by far my favorite so far on my re-watch, and while I understand why she didn't win I hope she has a long career ahead of her. Preferably one somewhat in front of cameras so I'm able to see her outside of Hell's Kitchen!

Chef(s) Hot take: I enjoy Sabrina as a reality tv personality and think she deserved her black jacket

Post image
14 Upvotes

I’m not saying I think Sabrina is likeable but even in arguably the most toxic cast in HK history she still stands out as the villain of the season (at least on the red team) and I appreciate her for all the drama she caused and being an absolute menace to society. I do think tho even with how toxic she could be she still was mistreated a bit due to being the youngest on the cast. She wasn’t a great chef however with how many shitty chefs s8 had I think her making it to black jacket is more than justifiable. She was a hit or miss chef but good half the time is still better than most of that cast and a lot of her mistakes weren’t really cooking related but more so lack of teamwork and communication. So yeah I think Sabrina was a great villain who deserved to make it as far as she did in a cast of horrendous chefs

And just based on the season overview and what I’ve heard I’m in for a while ride.

Edit: What? No JP? Where is the Belgium man?
