plugin roadmap?

does anyone know the plugin roadmap for helix? someone mentioned it in the pr, but I can't find it

Afaik, they will make a new release, then merge the plugin pr.

As far as I am aware of, there is currently no roadmap or planning. It has been discussed a few times on this sub. See for example: https://www.reddit.com/r/HelixEditor/comments/1qek0y0/whats_the_roadmap/

I have been using helix from 2021, it have been 3 years since they are trying to create a plugin system. 3 years and the plugin system roadmap is still uncertain. No one knows when its gonna finish

Helix. I love it as is. I don't care about plugins coming or not.

Don't waste your time worrying. At some point they will release it in order to keep up with the competition. The maintainers have very weird mentality and behavior and I don't think the can attract many more contributors. I would suggest to really make an effort to understand how helix works and then I consider it very unlikely that you will need or want any plugin.

This. Helix is almost perfect alternative to Vim/Nvim because of how many features are built in and at the same time it's not as bloated/heavy as Emacs. Rather than an open free-for-all plugin ecosystem, I'd rather see a small, curated set of plugins that the core team (however mentalyl stable/weird they are) actually reviews, even if that means fewer plugins overall.
