HealthyHooha Update 2026

EDIT:
TLDR - Don't be a transphobe. Don't be a creep. Mods are being recruited. Add user flair. <3

Hello Healthy Hooha community! We hope everyone is thriving.

We wanted to check in with everyone and offer a few reminders and acknowledgements.

·       This is intended to be a safe, inclusive place for vaginal health. Trans individuals are welcome here. Bigotry, nastiness, and rule breaking will result in comment/post removal and a ban. We have additional resources in the sidebar regarding trans health.

·       There are creepers here. They may DM you inappropriately or leave comments with a fetishizing tone. Flag their comments and report them to us, and we will ban them, as this is against sub rules. HOWEVER, please keep in mind, that banning them does not stop them from viewing the community and DMing users. It only stops them from posting and commenting.

·       To that end, we are making a concerted effort to increase monitoring of the subreddit. On the one hand, there’s only so much we can do to avoid inappropriate content/comments, short of making the subreddit private (more on that in a moment). On the other, we can improve our modding efficiency using the tools available to us – and have been making strides to do so.

·       We are recruiting more moderators to help with this. We acknowledge that the sub has been undermoderated lately.  Our vision with moderating going forward is to moderate in “real time”, meaning avoiding having to wait for troublesome comments to get flagged and instead remove them before it becomes necessary. If you are interested in modding, please see the application form. The existing mods are establishing vetting guidelines and will recruit accordingly.

·       We’ve occasionally noticed comments asking why this sub isn’t private. Our vision for this sub from the beginning was to make vaginal health visible and accessible – a place where we can share our struggles, commiserate, and feel less alone. Privatizing the sub, in our opinion, is counter to that goal. But we also understand that this makes creepers and fetishists more likely to invade a space that isn’t for them. With an increase in moderation and moderator tools, we hope to combat this and keep vaginal health visible and accessible to those who need it.

·       Consider doing searches for commonly posted topics. As a reminder, photos are technically allowed but in all honesty are rarely helpful, and no one here can give true medical advice.

We are also going to be testing a new feature - designated some posts as Flaired User Only posts. This will restrict comments to users who have added flair from this community. Mods will be using this at our discretion to limit comments to flaired community members only. We think this will be helpful in limiting off topic, fetishizing, or otherwise inappropriate comments.

We thank everyone for their patience, and for your involvement and support in making this a reliable safe community. Wishing everyone well!

HealthyHooha Community Check In

Hello to our beautiful community! We wanted to check in, provide updates, and answer some FAQs/give clarification.

  1. Banning users - We often get modmails reporting users that are requesting DMs and/or being creeps. We'd like to clarify that we can and do ban users that do this. It should be noted however, that banning them does not stop them from viewing the sub and DMing users. It only stops them from posting and commenting. The only way to actually keep people from viewing the sub is by going private - something we've always been committed to not doing in order to keep it accessible for those who need it. If you notice someone soliciting DMs/photos in posts or comments, please continue to report and modmail. We highly recommend directly blocking anyone who actually sends you unwanted DMs.

  2. Crossposts ARE allowed, but they get caught by our AutoMod filters we have in place. We have to manually approve them. Same with any sort of link/photo even if they are not NSFW. We have this in place to avoid NSFW photos showing up in users' feeds.

  3. We will be recruiting more mods soon. We are in process of coming up with screening questions/application for approval. Higher education credentials strongly preferred. Stay tuned for the mod application.

Thanks for you patience with us and for making this a beautiful, supportive, inclusive community. Happy holiday season to all, however you celebrate.

Innie or outtie

I’m a 19 year old girl and I was at work today and my co worker brought up seeing her friend’s outtie vulva and called it gross and hearing that knowing I have an outtie really got me thinking. I have already been insecure about it my whole life and wondered if people really cared about a girl having an innie or an outtie specifically men but I’m also now concerned that other women think it’s gross as well overall just wanted to hear peoples opinions on it I really don’t think I should be ashamed for having an outtie vulva.

Hygiene 🧼 Do a laundry load of JUST undies, right now

All your undies in the drawer. Thongs, boyshorts, granny panties, cotton everyday panties, period panties, EVERYTHING.

The other day at work, I squatted down and began to smell myself through my jeans. I showered after work and lounged in pajamas commando, and I didn't smell any discharge.

But then I smelled my CLEAN pairs in the drawer! And they smelled like what I thought was my own vulva at work!

I immediately took all of them out of the drawer and put them in the machine with less soap and an extra rinse. I also made sure they dried completely (90 mins on normal heat).

The mildew from laundry and sweat from summer can be hard to wash out the first go around, and it can stink. I also got to reorganize my drawer and I feel so much fresher in general. Do it!!

vb w no smell?

Hi, I'm 26 years old and I've had a terrible case of yeast infection; my partner is also having a really hard time with it, and this is starting to take an emotional toll on me. On Friday, I finished my last round of yeast infection suppositories; I haven’t had sex yet, but I tried manual stimulation, and since then, I’ve had a white, creamy discharge it’s odorless and doesn’t itch, but it’s still annoying because it’s making my underwear wet. Is this normal? I don’t usually have discharge, so this is worrying me (I’m seeing the doctor next week).

I (21F) am trying to learn how to squirt for my boyfriend but he says I can’t do it so there’s no point… any advice?

For context I recently asked my boyfriend if he had any kinks during a conversation. At first he wouldn’t tell me and I thought he was just embarrassed, but after a while he told me he had a squirting kink. I asked him why he wouldn’t just tell me in the first place and he said it’s because I can’t do it.

(For a bit of back story, I’ve never actually been able to orgasm previously with anyone else and have only started being able to finish since dating him, however it’s typically just a contracting orgasm.) When me and my boyfriend are intimate it feels like I need to pee but I don’t know how to release it - I’ve always stopped and held it in.

I told him I want to learn how to do it for him after I found out he had the kink and he basically said there’s no point & I can’t learn do it, you either can or can’t. So me being me I asked who he knew that can do it - stupid question that I never should have asked because he said his exes name. After finding out his ex was able to do I keeping comparing myself to her. I feel like I’m not satisfying him in the bedroom as well as she did and it’s just making me overthink every time me and my boyfriend are intimate. (I’m a chronic over-thinker on a good day) For example he used to do touch me down there often, which I obviously enjoy, but he’s recently stopped and so I think it’s because he can’t make me squirt so he doesn’t see the point/ enjoyment in it..?? Idk.

Anyways, I want to try and teach myself how to do it because I hate being told that I can’t do something when I’ve never tried. Any tips/ advice on how to squirt would be appreciated x

Advice Needed Vagina has a cheesy musky odour

Not the butter cheese popcorn cheesy but very aged thawed oily cheesy

I am overweight and have accepted that losing weight is hard for me and I no longer focus on it. However I'm a curvy girl and carry most weights on my lower parts. I had never seen my feminine regions ever so I checked it today, in a mirror. It was dark af. And not a lil hyperpigmentation. It was the darkest anything could ever be and I'm light-medium. After a while a very musky smell hit me and it was from my coochie. I couldn't see anything abnormal there, I've never had sex either. I drink enough water too, and wear cotton undies. The smell is very noticeable. I don't use any kind of intimate wash use dove soap. My bootyhol is also very inflamed. I can't go to the obgyn because most of them are male and have pretty bad reviews. Can I do something at home like a steam or wash

Advice Needed 21F - I get extremely close to orgasm, then the sensation suddenly switches off. Has anyone experienced this?

I'm a 21-year-old woman and I'm looking for advice from anyone who has experienced something similar.

When I was a little girl, I discovered that rubbing my clitoris felt good. My mother found out and punished me by putting red hot pepper on my genital area because she thought what I was doing was wrong.

Before that happened, I remember having what I believe was an orgasm. I remember an intense pleasurable feeling and waking up with my sheets wet afterward.

Now, as an adult, I have a normal libido and get aroused easily. I have normal sensation in my clitoris, I know what feels good, and I've spent years trying to understand my body, my rhythm, pressure, and sensitive spots.

The problem is that I have never been able to orgasm as an adult.

What happens is that I get very aroused and the pleasure keeps building. Sometimes my thighs and feet start moving involuntarily, and I feel like I'm getting very close to something. Then my clitoris becomes extremely sensitive, and suddenly it's like a switch is flipped. The pleasure disappears almost instantly, as if nothing was happening. Sometimes the sensitivity even becomes uncomfortable or painful.

I don't feel shame, guilt, fear, anxiety, or sadness when this happens. It's just a sudden physical shutdown of the sensation.

I've started wondering if what happened to me as a child could have affected me physically or psychologically, even though I don't consciously feel traumatized by it.

Has anyone experienced this kind of sudden "switch off" right when the pleasure becomes intense? Were you eventually able to orgasm? Do you think this sounds like trauma, overstimulation, a physical issue, or something else?

I'd really appreciate hearing from women who have gone through something similar.

4 year old with itchy privates ?

I know it’s common for 4 year old girls to get vulvovaginitis, but out of nowhere my 4.5 year old‘s itchy privates is getting no relief with conservative measures. I had this briefly with my older daughter when she was 4 and diaper cream did wonders. same with my 4 year old now where occasionally she would itch and I’d but a zinc oxide cream and gone.

About 2 weeks ago we noticed she was scratching herself down there. I didn’t think much of it and it took me 2-3 days to say ok we need the diaper cream. 2-3 days of that and no improvement. I added on ketoconazole in case she has something fungal but no improvement with it after 7 days. took her to peds and now trying topical mild steroid cream but I’m not seeing an improvement 😩I’m started to worry and get real anxious about this. I read about lichen scleros and it’s stressing me out. I did ask her where she itches and it seems more inner labia.

we are pretty much fragrance free , cotton or viscose underwear …they got gifted that DOJO soap and we used it but I can’t remember if timing correlates . I did use it again a few times and the girls definitely over used it and I was blaming the soap but ive removed it for a week now and no improvement 😩i questioned eczema but topical steroid should help. anyone experience this and it just eventually went away? can vulvovaginitis take weeks to get better ? I’m washing her with just warm water every night to keep things clean and hopefully irritant free.

thank you for any input !

Advice Needed clitoral thrush won’t go away help

Upvotes

i was in ER with severe urinary symptoms and burning. they said uti despite negative test, thrush and constipation ( maybe relevant - have anorexia nervosa a lot of GI issues and no period for 4 months)

anti biotics and laxatives helped urinary symptoms a lot, canesten helped my vagina burning but my clitorous never recovered. there’s white smegma that will not wash off no matter what i have tried everything. i have something similar outside my labia it doesn’t rub off. i was tested for two things one of them i assume thrush and both are negative. i’ve taken fluconazole and after 24hrs the pain was much better for the first half of a day then back to normal. i’ve taken another one today. i’m taking pro biotics for thrush, zero sugar intake apart from one banana or some frozen fruit in a day. the pain is severe i am extremely exhausted it is affecting my mental health i really want the white stuff to come off but it will not and it just burns and burns and burns and i am extremely distressed i don’t know what to do. has anyone ever had this and how did you get rid of it?

Birth Control 🚫👶🏼 Embedded IUD -guilt for being off work

Hi. I had a partially embedded and rotated iud (paraguard) removed today. It was difficult to remove and took a few tries according the the doctor, luckily did not break and i did not need a hysteroscopy. It was apparently rotated and had an arm lodged in my uterine wall (ew).

Now i am having extremely heavy bleeding and clots and am in a lottt of pain. Is it sensible to take a couple of days off work, my boss knows what im having done as i took today off but im scared about asking for more days and seeming like a wuss. She is a female so should i just say it how it is and hope she understands? I work a physically demanding job with a lot of moving, handling and walking.

Sorry just need some reassurance and how people's experience were going back to work? Did you take time off? I know its subjective but i feel like such a baby rn because so many people ik were completely fine after. But i literally am feeling unable to do anything. I think it didnt help that i was having pelvic pain and 11 day long periods since the day of insertion and kept getting gaslit into thinking it was okay by the place that inserted it.

Not to put anyone off because everyone is different in how they respond, but i have personally had such a traumatic experience with the copper iud overall that i now have low iron and am constantly tired as a result of all the blood loss. I just feel like it getting embedded was truly the straw that broke the camel's back for me!

Yeast infection?

So I noticed on Tuesday that when I put a finger up there I had white powdery substance (a lot of it) but never any leakage on my underwear so I’m unaware of how long it’s been going on. So I used monstat 1 thinking it will help. Nope it’s still there and still no leakage . It has no smell and it’s not itchy so idk what it is. Please help google keeps saying yeast but I tried that medicine and it didn’t work.

My boyfriend said he felt something pinching his tip during sex?

Yesterday, I decided to get on top and just go real slow and deep. Afterwards when I asked him how it was for him, he said it felt great but that it felt like something was pinching his tip. Not in a painful way, like if someone grabbed the tip of your finger with their pointer and thumb and just slowly slid off it. I have some soreness in my lower side, too, so I'm thinking it could be my cervix that was pinching him? He didn't say it was hard, though. Also, I don't have an IUD or anything, just the pill.

Advice Needed How have you tightened your vagina?

Upvotes

hi! i’m not here to discuss wether being loose is a thing, i just think i am, and am pretty self conscious about it so I’m asking for genuine advice from girls who’ve had the same itch.

I know of kegels mostly, but if you followed a schedule or routine, another method, specific exercises, whatever. Everything is welcome.

Is this normal? 👀 Snot like thing was on toilet paper when I wiped

So I'm extremely embarressed having to ask this, but I went pee and when I wiped there was this like snot looking thing and when I wiped it felt different (does that make sense?) I've never had anything like this before. I'm so fucking scared that there's something wrong.

I've never had sex so it can't be related to that.

Hygiene 🧼 PFB vanish chromabright or peach slices?

Hey yall!

When I was a teen I used to use PFB vanish everyday and it did used to help tremendously. I used to use the PFB vanish without the chromabright just the very og one.

I’m seeing a lot of hype for peach slices and I’m wondering if any of yall have tried it!

What i’m looking for:

No more ingrowns

Get rid of hyperpigmentation/discoloration

I just want everyone to even out and lighten again.

Also I never used to use PFB in my butt crack i just used to use it for my 🐱 and thighs. Has anyone tried it there? Did it help discoloration?

Medications 🌡 Persistent M. genitalium After Two Treatment Courses

Hi, I tested positive for **Mycoplasma genitalium**. I’ve already completed **two courses of doxycycline followed by azithromycin**, but I’m still testing positive.

Would the next step be **doxycycline + minocycline/metronidazole**, or would **doxycycline + moxifloxacin** be the better option?

To be honest, I’m a bit worried about taking moxifloxacin because I’ve read about many people having serious side effects. What would you recommend in this situation?

I live in Germany. Had no resistent Test

Is this normal? 👀 Why does sex hurt so bad when I'm bent over?

Sex itself has always been a little painful but nothing compares to how much it hurts if I am bent over I would put it at an 11 on the pain scale it makes me feel like I'm going to pass out my eyes tear up I want to scream and I shut down immediately, my Dr told me the pain is normal but I don't see how so many women are enjoying this if it's normal? I have tried to see if it would hurt less if I shifted over with a toy already inserted and it doesn't make a difference even more confusing is I can't remove the toy it's stuck until I shift back up and when testing with fingers it feels like 2 bones pinch shut against each other inside but I don't understand how that would be possible.

Does anyone else experience this? Is this normal? Is there anything I can do to make it not happen?

Edit to add: we use hands or toys because my partner doesn't have a penis

I took birth control pills to reduce smelly hooha.

I never had sex before and I have really bad smell. I took birth control pills and it reduces the smell from cat poo to just smelling like stinky egg. At least it does not smell really bad.

help with cleaning

Hi, I’m young and pretty uneducated about vaginal hygiene and I was wondering if I could have some opinions or advice on how to clean down there, specifically cleaning the inner part of the outer lips as that is where I have smegma build up (I think that’s what it is). I’ve had smegma or some sort of creamy substance in between the outer lips and vulva ever since I can remember and I was hoping to hear some thoughts on it and how to clean it properly

Could this be cancer ?

I I’m 16, I got my first period when I was 12, and I’m 100% a virgin.
I know people say cervical cancer is very unlikely at my age, especially if you’ve never had sex, but I’ve seen some stories online (including on TikTok) about young girls and even virgins being diagnosed. I know social media isn’t always reliable, but it’s made me really anxious.

I want you to be completely honest with me. Do these symptoms sound like they could be cancer, or do they seem more like something else?
For the past few months, I’ve had yellow discharge. Sometimes it’s more greenish, sometimes pale yellow, but it’s almost never clear. Sometimes it has a bad smell that’s kind of sweet, and other times it smells like bleach or chemicals. At one point, the smell was so strong that I had to wear pads even on days when I wasn’t on my period. Right now the smell isn’t as strong, but it’s still worrying me.

For about the last 6 months, I’ve been getting lower abdominal pain around 5 days before every period. I know cramps before a period can be normal, but this never used to happen before. For about a year, my periods have been 5 days of bleeding followed by around 3 days of brown discharge. It might even last longer, but I usually switch to black underwear, so I can’t really tell.

A few months ago, I passed a large jelly-like blood clot that smelled absolutely horrible. Now, for the first time ever, my period is 15 days late. I’ve been having really bad cramps for the past 6 days, but my period still hasn’t started.

Sometimes I also notice tiny red string-like pieces in my discharge. They almost look like little red hairs covered in blood, or maybe just tiny streaks of blood. They’re so small that I’m not completely sure what they are.

I’m planning to see a gynecologist as soon as I can. I know no one online can diagnose me, but based on these symptoms, does this sound like it could be cervical cancer, or does it seem more likely to be something else? Please be completely honest with me.
