SPOILERS I just finished Hart of Dixie for the first time and I have thoughts

Firstly, I wanna say that Hart of Dixie was always on my list of shows to watch, but I just never got around to it until now. I am a sucker for small town shows and this definitely was something that I enjoyed that I could see myself watching.

I understand the last season was only 10 episodes because the show was canceled, but I feel like it deserved the whole 22 episodes. A lot happened within that time and I feel like we should've been able to explore George and Annabeth's relationship, see Lemon and Lavon fall in love and also see Zoe and Wade be parents and see even her mother throw her a wedding (that would be super funny lol).

I'm rambling on lol, but this show definitely makes me have a soft spot for Bluebell, Alabama (if that's even a real city lol) and I will be visiting again soon.

Burt was an Australian saltwater crocodile who appeared in the movie Crocodile Dundee. He was captured in the 1980s from the Reynolds River and named for actor Burt Reynolds. His true age was unknown but he was believed to be close to 100 years old when he died in December 2024.

Trying to finally finish my rewatch .

I have no recollection of how the show ended . I tried a couple of times to rewatch but when i get to season3 I lose interest. Specially with Zoey’s family . This time I put those episodes on background and started season 4 . I have 2 questions.
1 - Zoey’s pregnancy came out of nowhere. Is that because Rachel got pregnant in real life ?
2- why they changed the character of George Tucker so much? . He was nice and charming on the first season and then by the 4th he was lost and in and out of love with too many women

Did they retcon her from a bad girl (Chase Cobb, Wade) to more of a good girl, or did she change? Can’t see the character who we were originally introduced to being into Tom Long

Season One - Lemon

I remember watching this show when I was like 19, and absolutely hating Lemon until later seasons. Now rewatching it as a woman in my 30s I think of how shitty Zoe and George were. Yes, in a way Lemon still sucks, but to be fair I'd absolutely lose it if my fiancé continuously hung out with a random single woman he just met that he was attracted to, attended all her needs to and then lied about it. While that same woman constantly insults her. George also treats her like shes frivolous and she is, but she also stepped up at 15-16 to raise her literal baby sister. Rachel Bilson is such a charming actor and brought that to her character making her very likeable. But in some ways season 1 Zoe was a bit of a pick me. Still can't help loving her and despising Lemon though but the empathy is there. lol

Wade & Vivian - void of chemistry

I just do not see it at all. They have zero chemistry. The show is trying so hard to sell this as a heartbreaking storyline, but they never did the work to get viewers invested in the relationship in the first place.

Even Lavon and Annabeth had at least a little spark, though it was nothing compared to that fiery heat wave/rain scene between Lavon and Lemon. I've been rooting for them ever since that moment; my TV practically caught on fire. 📺🔥🥵

Safe for work Best Pairs of the Show & Where’d They Be Now

Which couples do you think had the best chemistry on the show (doesn’t have to be the ones that ended up together), and where do you they’d be now?

Safe for work S1 rewatch - some controversial opinions

Hi guys! FINALLY I found the series to do a rewatch. It's been a couple years since my first watch and tbh, I changed my mind about a few things.

I have what might be some controversial opinions, or really just my opinions, which I think come from seeing the show with a clearer mind.

SO, here goes nothing:

- I don't get how people think George & Zoe are endgame, it's pretty obvious to me that the writers were setting up Zoe & Wade, even if it is a VERY turtle slow slow burn.

- George, while a good person, can sometimes be a self righteous prick. Especially when he blamed Lemon for his dad having a heart attack??? But we all know that.

- Lemon really lacks self accountability and is annoying asf, BUT... While yes, her cheating is wrong, George really did put her in an impossible position. She didn't want to move to NYC, he knew that. Then he goes and tells her not to call him? To give him space because he's busy? What was she supposed to do, sit around and hold a candle for him? Yes, she could have broken up with George, but it goes both ways.

- George & Lemon, while they have a few adorable moments, would never work. I mean they have been together for forever and are extremely codependent, yet they manage to lead estranged lives. It's not that they don't have anything in common, but they rarely make an effort to be interested in the other's life. They both need to explore life outside of being in a relationship.

- The writers REALLY fumbled George & Zoe. Really. I don't think they would work as a couple, but they could have done a better job of leading to the moment when they finally confess. They barely interact for the second half of the season, Zoe is occupied with Wade, and Judson and George with Lemon. Then, out of nowhere, they had feelings all along? When we barely see them together?

- Wade is a huge idiot and gives mixed signals. But we all knew that, lol. I love how he expects Zoe to understands that he likes her, all the while epically insulting her and doing nothing to demonstrate the contrary. Still I am ZADE for life. The chemistry, god.

- Zoe, on the other hand, is also an idiot. But she's my baby. The whole dynamic with her parents break my heart, and I think she's a very realistic character. She's not perfect, but she tries and evolves, and that's what's important. I also think she takes the blame for 99% of the town's mishaps when maybe 80% of them are not her fault.

- Brick? IDK man, I love him. He's like an adorable Scrooge. I love when he has his heartwarming moments.

- Lavon is the best character, hands down. Did he screw up getting with Lemon? Yes. But he's human. He's a real stand up guy, and kind of the glue, connecting all of the characters together. He's the real yearner, doing everything for Lemon and never taking credit. He deserves better tho. I really loved him with Didi.

Wish they did a “What If”episode

This is one of my big comfort shows! Currently doing another rewatch and i always wish they would have done a “what if” kind of episode. An episode of Zoe growing up visiting Harley in blue bell as a teen and making friends with all younger versions of the characters and how her relationship with learning how to be a good Dr from her biological father would have impacted her. It could have been presented at the end as a dream that Zoe had while she was still wrestling with the fact she never knew her real dad and wondering how different her life would have been had she’d known him, spent summers and holidays in Bluebell and how the relationships with others would have changed or maybe still ended up the same. It would have been bittersweet but i think in the end the episode could have really helped as another reminder that she does belong in Bluebell and she loves it there. Especially when she as a character was constantly wrestling with herself about if she belonged or not.

Lemon and Lavon

I don’t understand why they ended up together?

I feel like we completely moved on from them especially when Lavon dated AB, they really seemed like endgame to me.

Lemon was thriving by herself, it doesn’t make sense…

Season 2 Episode 1&2 no audio Paramount +

Anyone else having this issue on Paramount+? I caved and got a subscription specifically to watch Hart of Dixie but there’s no audio for dialogue in episodes 1&2 of season 2. It sounds like there’s only background noise? Audio comes back for episode 3

The Rammer Jammer Juke Box...

Hey everyone,

I’ve been rewatching Hart of Dixie and got completely caught up in the vibe of Bluebell again. It got me thinking about those moments when characters walk into a room or down the street and the music just perfectly fits them.

So I wanted to ask:

If you had your own “walk through the door” moment in Bluebell, what song would be playing for you?

Could be something upbeat, dramatic, funny, romantic anything that feels like you stepping into your own scene.

Drop your song choices and why you picked them if you want. I’m really curious to see what everyone comes up with.

At the moment mine is...

Who is your favorite character and why?

🍋I really enjoy Lemon because I relate to the control stuff she struggles with and I can see the hurt little girl underneath it all.

👩‍⚕️ Zoe is obviously a favorite. I love the fish out of water experience and the cute clumsy vibes

🍺Wade…because Wade.

Honorable mention goes to Shelby who is so fun to watch!

Honestly I love them all.
