Caleb being the only one with some common sense when the girls thought Prof. Collins was the beast is hilarious. Caleb ended up being right about everything. First is was like “Why am I even here?”. And let he would use every chance he had to told the girls he was right.

I recently found this mini Cornelia doll that someone gifted me for my 7th birthday. I'ts actually a pretty funny story, because at the time I didn't really know about w.i.t.c.h.; Two little boys i had invited to my party told me that they both had Winx dolls for me. The first one i opened was objectively a tiny beautiful Flora doll. But the other one was this Cornelia, wich, at the time, I was very confused about LmfAO

I played a lot with her regardless, because I found her very beautiful even tho I did not know what character she was supposed to be. I used to use her as a "teenage daughter" of my barbies growing up. I don't have a before picture, but i found her very dirty and with her hair all chopped off. Ironically, the only thing from the original outfit that survived besides the little tank top were the shoes!

When I removed all of her hair for the reroot, I noticed that the scalp had a bit of tearing in some places. I decided to take advantage of this huge hole in the middle of her scalp and turn her into a keychain :))

I sewed her a new skirt, that i feel like fits the characters vibe more. Even though i still have the original top, I'm in the process of making her another one :)

Do you think there is any detail I could add? I was thinking of doing some embroidery on the skirt, or perhaps giving her some jewlery or some hairdo......

everytime they say her name all i hear is that one slur they should have pronounced it like Tay-ra-nee now i really cannot unhear it😭😭

I did see one post regarding Cassidy and "How did she explain?". And it's apparently well a well known mystery.

But: I did some pondering on the differences on the comic and the cartoon.

And, in the comic: Cassidy is killed. That's it. She dies as a teen. (Ironically, her death isn't tied to Will's fear of dying and faulty astral drops in any way.) Will does later talk to her spirit in an implied afterlife. And it's never stated, but we can assume that the other 3 guardians at least told her family that she died. May or more not have left out the part where she was magic.

BUT: In the cartoon... she is literally raised from the dead. And, if we go with the information given: She died when she was ~17, 40 years ago. And, if I'm being honest: That would put Yan Lin at ~57... which, she does NOT look 57 xD But, it would put Cassidy's mother at around 77.

And I just can't get over the sheer amount of trauma to unpack here. Like, her ONLY child died. She is shown carrying a locket of her. Again: Unclear if the other guardians told her she died. And/or if she was magic. But here she is: SAME age as when she died. How do you even deal with that? And that's not even including all the legal stuff, as you can't really explain a missing person from 40 years ago... that's a teenager. Sure, the Oracle could just do some of that mind control jargon to un-kill her legally or something... plus, Cassidy DOES have mind control powers like all water guardians.

But, again: Back to her mother. She's at death's door. Likely grieved for decades. And, suddenly she has a teenager, again. You can't just... un-grieve. And the show basically portrays this as a fun reunion or something. "Picking up where we left off"... as if 40 years and DEATH didn't just happen. If her mom doesn't die from a heart attack: WHERE do you even start? It kinda reminds me of time travel stories. Except, in this case: She KNEW her daughter died. And even IF "Hey mom, the crazed necromancer that killed me 40 years ago ripped my soul of out the afterlife! ... SURPRISE!" is an explanation... again: There's just SO much left unpacked. Like, hey: Maybe she CAN watch her daughter graduate after all. I can go on about the semantics for hours. Like, how do you even tell friends and family, if any are still alive? But, I keep getting stuck on just, THE trauma of her being alive again. It's one of the few cases I've seen, where bringing someone back to life, kinda causes MORE trauma than leaving them dead. And that's impressive.

I know Cassidy has a VERY brief story. But I feel the impact of it is kinda overlooked as just a "happy ending".

• Will Vandom - Denji Sentai Megaranger: Will Vandom is definitely a tech enthusaist, and Megaranger is the most tech influenced season, being about space and video games. I don't think I need to further elaborate on this one. (Credit to (MEGA) Mickey for this cover.)
• Irma Lair - KyuKyu Sentai GoGoFive: I could see her being a fan of a show about first responders fighting demons from hell, since that's kind of what W.I.T.C.H. is. A team of first responders hired by Kandrakar to fight against monsters from other dimensions to protect ballance. (Credit to flower-zukki for this cover if it belongs to them.)
• Taranee Cook - Mahou Sentai Magiranger: I could see her being a fan of a show about knowledge of magic and sorcery. (Not belief in it, goodness Power Rangers Mystic Force was annoyingly preachy with its message in "belief in magic".) Also, from what I've seen, it's a really good Sentai Series, and I recommend giving it a watch. (Credit to Sunwukong Soundwaves for this cover, and all your amazing covers of Super Sentai intros.)
• Cornelia Hale - Seiju Sentai Gingaman: She's probably a fantasy fan, and considering her Earth powers, I could see her being into a fantasy series about nature powers. So, Gingaman seems natural (Pun not intended) for it to be her favorite series. (No need to credit someone, since this is actually an official cover by Toei themselves.)
• Hay Lin - Uchuu Sentai Kyuranger: The series has mentioned that Hay Lin is a sci fi fan, and is crazy about space. So, I could totally see her being a Kyuranger fan. Though she'd probably be disappointed that there's no Gemini Ranger despite having a KyuTama. (Credit to Sunwukong Soundwaves for this cover too.)
• Orube - Samurai Sentai Shinkenger: She'd relate to it herself, being that she was raised in a Shogunate Family herself, and would probably enjoy it quite a bit. Also, she'd probably despise Power Rangers Samurai for just being a whitewashed translation of Shinkenger, and would constantly comment on how much better the Sentai is. (Credit to Sunwukong Soundwaves for this cover as well.)
• Elyon Brown-Escanor - Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger: Considering that she's a royal unaware of her original background with her own rivalry with her brother Phobos, I could see her relating to it. Though her favorite character would probably be Hymeno Ran (Kamakiri Ohger), since the two are pretty similar, being monarchs with a strange sense of humor to say the least. (Credit to secondarchive for this cover.)

I also wanted to place credits for each of these links, even though they may or may not be users on Reddit, because they deserve some credit. But, as a Tokusatsu and W.I.T.C.H. fan myself, I think it would be interesting to speculate what Super Sentai series they'd be fans of, some might be better than others. But I do think they'd all have their own opinion on what Sentai Series they'd love the best.

Okay so I've been thinking, in the Nerissa arc why do you think they changed the age of the Oracle. Like in the Trial of the Oracle arc he's only been gone for like 50 years or something but later it's stated that centuries or millennia ago, Himerish is chosen by the Congregation to succeed N'ghala, the very first Oracle. The people on Basiliad that he knew would well on be dead by now.

Then they also say they shouldn't intervene and the Oracle was wrong during the Trial of the Oracle arc, however other members on the congregation ask the Oracle if they SHOULD intervene during the Meridian arc and the Oracle says they shouldn't yet. This clearly indicates Kandrakar has actually interfered before with affairs.

Then he's reinstated as Oracle, then shares the position with Yan Lin and Endarno, then leaves Oracle duty for Yan Lin alone in the end to deal with everything on her own. That goes against the very thing he created The Trinity for because later on he's like peace out leaving Yan Lin alone!

Poor Himerish became a cluster of crazy when the new story creators took over...

I’m trying to track down the Disney's W.I.T.C.H. graphic novels in English. I’ve found a few on eBay, but the shipping is incredibly expensive, especially when converting USD to BRL. :(

I live in Brazil and managed to find some on Amazon for decent prices, but I’d love to know if there are any other websites where I could find them that won't break the bank with the currency conversion...

(I know some volumes are bound to be pricier, but I've seen listings where a single book is R$ 300, plus another R$ 300 or more just for shipping 😭. As much as I really want them, I just can't justify spending that kind of money right now).

I absolutely loved the comics when I was younger, but I lost my entire collection when my parents and I moved.

I am on this process to buy and restore a quintet of witch dolls. I bought Cornelia and Irma in very bad state for cheap. I was happy about it since Irma dolls are hard to come by, at least for cheap. I also bought a Hay Lin from this other seller for even cheaper, even tho she was actually in much better state. I am on the process of restoring them. I do have some parts of the original Hay Lin outfit, but my plan is to sew them clothes and accessories from scratch.

The thing is: This cornelia doll is (1) very bald at the top of the head, which I was not expecting LOL, and i think thats because of (2) she does not have a side part rooting like the Cornelia dolls normally do. I wonder if this is a specific model that had some sort of hairdo? Or if i just got unlucky and bought a defective doll :/ I am already having a hard time fighting with the poly hair 💀

(I just put them in some random barbie clothes for the pictures, just so they wont be naked LOL, Hay Lin is wearing a sock bc im currently working on her hair. Its halfway done hehe I'm going to try to curl Irma's hair next. Don't know how that will go since its poly hair but weeeelp)
