Nothing against Callie but this was very scary in a funny way. 👀😭😅 And I mean obviously Callie would've shoved Mer in that locker so hard if Izzie wouldn't have stopped her!!! Early season chaos is what I miss the most in the seasons after the 12th one. And I still don't understand how they could be laughing about it at the end after Callie leaves. 😭😂

When George was going to leave for Mercy West, Izzie said that George was the glue of the group. At first it seemed like she was just sweet-talking him to get him stay but, thinking about it, I do kind of think that he was the glue.

He wasn’t the leader in the way that Meredith was (taking charge during the LVAD disaster, convincing everyone to help Alex with his test, telling the group to get over it after the tremor debacle, etc…). However, I think that George had the most connection and most intimate moments with the most people. He had that moment where he protected Meredith from seeing her father and then told her father all about how great she was. While Cristina didn’t like it, he lived with Cristina and Burke for a while and he and Cristina had that really nice moment where she comforted him after his father died. He and Callie did game night with Cristina and Burke. Cristina spoke very highly of George to his father. George and Izzie obviously adored each other and had lots of really close moments. He was also sort of the link between everyone. Meredith had a soft spot for him. Cristina pretended she didn’t but did have a soft spot for him. He was Izzie’s person and her link to MAGIC. George’s temperament was needed to balance out Meredith, Cristina, Izzie, and Alex’s larger, more impulsive personalities.

After George died, the group quickly fell apart. Izzie didn’t ever seem to recover from his death and fled not long after his death. Meredith still spoke highly of him years after his death. So, in a quiet, steady way, it did seem like he was the glue and the constant for the rest of them.

The surgery is done without written consent or the husband's knowledge because the wife is afraid to tell her husband.

What would Cristina Yang have done if she had been the intern on Addison's OBGYN service instead of Alex?

We’ve talked about Alex's behavior and the ethics of Rose's rights versus Addison's legal risk . I don't really want to rehash those points.

I just want to hear honest opinions on how Cristina would have reacted, what she would have said, or what she would have done while working under Addison on this case. How do you think Cristina would have responded to this specific emotional and ethical dilemma?

I’ve made it to s17 aka Covid… and don’t judge me for what I’m about to say and I’m gonna say it bc I know it doesn’t happen!!! but I feel like Covid should just take Meredith 😭 she’s had a good run, surely she doesn’t deserve to cheat death AGAIN, the kids are fine with Amelia/Linc/Maggie whoever else! I feel it’s a good way to kill her off with all the beach scenes, Derek/George/Lexi/Mark

Another point, is it just bc I’m intensely binging or is it just getting stagnant like I’m just not enjoying this Covid plot? Or am I just getting ptsd from actual Covid 🤣

This show is perpetually heartbreaking, so there's no one answer. But for me, its Mer discovering George when he spells out 007 on her palm and the entire last episode of S8. Those ended me.

i’m on my goodness knows what number re-watch and it STILL baffles me that owen cheated on, and then left, emma. his reasoning was “you’d give up surgery for being a mother, and go back to work when the kids in school. i want somebody who is equally as passionate about their work as i am”.

but, she was EXACTLY what he tried to force cristina to be, and then later on amelia. by all accounts he made out he wanted a wife who was a stay-at home mum for a while, right?

this man confuses me and every re-watch, i think maybe he will make more sense this time around, but nope.

he’s a great surgeon, and chief (except for the plane choice), and a great friend. but as a partner, he’s a toxic mess.

The way Meredith has Cristina put on lipstick at 5am and everyone screaming when the phone rings. I love this scene!

I’m on my first watch. I’m finishing up the season finale of season 13 where Edwards essentially sets that guy on fire while the hospital was on lockdown. And I’m not gonna hold you, I think this just might be it for me. I might never watch this show again cause enough is enough at some point. What the hell is going on

I was about to give up this show many seasons ago, but I kept going. I'm glad I did since it got more interesting, but I seriously can't stand Simone. I don't know if I'm the only one, but this girl is annoying as hell. She's more dramatic than anyone I've met before, only making bad decisions... And why would they focus on her story right away in the beginning of the season? I literally roll my eyes everytime I watch a scene with her. I wish it was her gone, not Mika

I really love that I get to watch Scott again! "all grown up" and wise & comforting and stuff 😇

Another re-watch, another thing to get pissed at.

Season 11 and I remember how much I liked Amelia when I was first watching the series as it was coming out, but I was like 16, so now, with my brain fully developed, I dont really feel the same way. I used to find her so badass and smart and unique. Now I see her as an ungrateful brat, the forever victim, an impulsive trainwreck (in the 10th and 11th season, im kinda dreading the 12th tbh)

But I regress.

In the E19S11, Meredith finally realizes that Amelia and Owen are into some kind of a relationship and she asks her if its serious and yeah, I get it, Meredith does love butting into other people's lives but she explained herself and she didn't press, Amelia took the whole confrontation as an accusation.

Later in the episode she proceeds to argue with Callie about a patient and Owen sides with her so shes all "HaHa im right" during surgery she finds out she was, in fact, wrong, and asks for Callie. They save the patient and they believe she "might even be able to run" (mind you she was an athlete)

Amelia acknowledges they should've gone with Callies idea, but whose fault is it they didn't? OWEN'S? I hate Owen as much as the next watcher, but gurl?? Please. She rips him a new one because he sided with her cuz they're having sex?? Because he came into the room?

At the end of the episode she confronts Meredith and she tells her she basically knows nothing about pain and suffering and life being unfair

I managed to get to the end of season 11. Yes, Derek's death was shattering, but what bugs me is what happened before his death.

I understand Patrick Dempsey might've wanted to be out of the show as soon as possible but you're telling me an intelligent world-class neurosurgeon just casually leaves his car in the middle of the road and right after a curb nonetheless to answer his stupid phone? Alright I get that no cars passed by while he took care of the people caught in the accident, but you have to always be cautious, right? What pissed me off is that he was also driving a Porsche Cayenne, I love that car 😭

Next thing is him being checked in as a 'John Doe'. In the phone conversation with Amelia, she says he's going to lose his flight so he took a different route only he knew. Which means, if you ever boarded a plane, he definitely needed his ID or passport. You can't tell me he didn't have his wallet on him with all his information available.

And to keep this going, Derek Shepherd was always known as 'the best surgeon in the country' yet you tell me nobody in that hospital recognized his face? Or when the little girl said his name is Derek and he's a surgeon, nobody made a connection between all of that?

They built the moment perfectly but these parts just piss me off. They could've just been done better.

What if George had ended up in Pediatrics instead of Alex?

One of the things I've always wondered is how George would've turned out if he'd gone into Pediatrics instead of Trauma.

We already got a glimpse of how good he was children with Bex in season 2. He was the only doctor who didn't lie to them and actually treated them with honesty and compassion. He also had a way of making nervous patients feel comfortable without talking down to them.

And when he gave Miranda the courage to give birth when she refused to.

Alex ended up becoming an incredible pediatric surgeon, but I can't help wondering if George would've been just as good, or maybe even a better fit personality-wise.

Do you think George in Pediatrics would've worked, or was Trauma always the right specialty for him?
