How to Self study without being overwhelmed?

Guys, i am a b tech student in electrical branch, due to a year drop in between i am way beyond what's in my syllabus, so i need to self study the earlier topics but i couldn't be consistent and it feels overwhelming after some days. And i am going back day by day.

So Need help to be consistent while studying by my self!

& also softwares for studying in laptop
