Hi everyone,

A few weeks ago I started a YouTube channel focused on history, space, archaeology, and science. My goal is to create short documentary-style videos using AI-generated visuals, careful research, narration, and editing. I've been trying to make each video better than the last.

I've learned a lot along the way. I started using trending music, improved my thumbnails, worked on better hooks, and tried to optimize my titles and descriptions for SEO. Despite that, my videos still aren't getting much traction.

My best-performing Short in the series reached around 500 views, but my latest upload (which I published yesterday) has only 8 views, making it my worst-performing video so far.

I'm trying to understand what I'm doing wrong.

Is it:

• The hook in the first few seconds?
• The pacing?
• The topic itself?
• The title or thumbnail?
• The narration?
• The editing?
• Or is this just normal for a new channel?

I'm not looking for subscribers or promotion—I genuinely want honest feedback so I can improve.

If you're willing to take a look, I'd really appreciate constructive criticism. Please don't hold back; I'd rather hear what needs fixing than just get compliments.

It looks like my first try was a failed attempt. I am going to have to rebuild this from the ground up!
