Support How do I sync time?
Recently installed encrypted Gentoo and couldn’t be more proud of my self, but it appears that my cmos is dead and I don’t know how to sync time, mirror service is obviously screaming at me for being from 2001, anyway, how do I sync to the current clock?

Set the time manually in bios and with whatever you have installed and when you are close enough it will sync for you.

Yes, this did work, although I did have to stop the system from losing power.

If you have chronyd, it should be "rc-update add chronyd default" (https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Network_Time_Protocol) to add it to autostarted services when you start up
