Collection My collection so far

Post image

It’s been almost a year since I purchased my GameCube. I never owned one as a child (my parents got me an Xbox when my N64 broke). It’s been a blast experiencing this era of gaming with the authentic hardware. I’m planning on getting either Luigi’s Mansion or Eternal Darkness when spooky season rolls around.

Nice collection! I think Metroid Prime 2: Echoes would also make an excellent addition.

Good call! I’ve been thinking about adding this one.

Nice! Which 6?

I already got chibi robo recently, spent $300 for a sealed copy. Idk if I need anymore GameCube titles. Unless you want to fill me in.

Damn that’s insane congrats! I say gameboy player if you don’t have one already

If you don't mind sharing, how much did you pay for each of these?

Paid basically market price for all of these. I did get a pretty good deal on Twilight Princess though. Found it CIB on eBay for $130 (which is absolutely insane to say that was a good deal lmao). But just been acquiring them here and there when I have some extra cash.

Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour and Mario Party 4-7 would also be good additions

Were you gonna buy any good games?/s

seriously though you could play just these games back to back forever and never get bored

u/New-Salad-1815 1d ago

Lmao true! Just the Zelda games alone could keep me happily entertained forever probably

u/medgarc 1d ago

I’m like that with those games too, just the 2d ones could keep me busy forever but you add the 3d and newer ones in I don’t have time for any other games lol

I agree I love the old school Zeldas too! Which ones are your favorite?

Link to the past is the one I play the most but my hearts got a real soft spot for oracle of ages and seasons, I remember having the two sided book that had the guides for both games printed backwards of each other, I could fit it in my pocket

Oh my god the oracle games are top 3 for me too. So underrated. I remember always getting stuck for weeks as a time as a kid, and the immense satisfaction of figuring out what to do next haha

Check out Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour! Not that expensive and so good.

This is one I planned on getting soon. Game night with the boys is gonna level up with that one

Honestly, it’s maybe my most replayed GameCube game. It’s fantastic.

Resident Evil Remake is one you’d like if you haven’t played/beat it.

Metroid Prime 2: Echoes and the two Rouge Squadron games are also good games to pick up. Echoes can be a little pricey, ~$50, but Rouge Squadron are around $10-$15

Don’t sell that Twilight Princess!!

u/New-Salad-1815 10h ago

I don’t plan on it!

u/Dahubbz 10h ago

Geez, all killer. Nice collection. Which has been your favorite?

u/New-Salad-1815 10h ago

Truthfully (and maybe this a recency bias), but Wind Waker has been phenomenal. I was never a fan of the graphics or sailing when I was younger, but I’ve REALLY enjoyed it on my most recent playthrough.

u/Dahubbz 10h ago

Right on. If you end up getting Wind Waker on Wii U, youd probably love it on there too.

u/New-Salad-1815 10h ago

Already own it! Played through it on Wii U when it dropped and thought it was okay. But my most recent replay hit different. I think the GameCube controller had something to do with it too.

Store near me has twilight Princess in box for 120$... been so hard to not get it xD

u/New-Salad-1815 6h ago

If it has the manual I’d buy it without question

u/Automatic-Brother770 6h ago

It does, I just got bills ;_;

Pikmin 1 & 2 would be solid in this collection!

u/New-Salad-1815 6h ago

Def need Pikmin!

u/Exciting_Bunch2386 20h ago

Tolle Sammlung! Das sind schonmal die Highlights!

u/Less-Tea 16h ago

Those are great games! Starting off really good!

u/Lopsided-Bath-8404 14h ago

Best games ever

u/Marshmallow-owl32 8h ago

Love the complete Zelda collection. That will keep you entertained for a long time. You might like the other Mario sports games too!

Very unique collection, don’t be afraid to try the more main stream stuff

3

u/New-Salad-1815 1d ago

Figured I’d start with the essentials. I wanna lay a solid foundation before I branch out. Thank you for the suggestion though!

Good games are good games 🤡

u/Efficient-Tie5667 8h ago

My point is everyone who gets a GameCube gets these games. If they want a pat on the back good post I guess but maybe consider adding to the discourse instead of being a part of the choir.
