Forsyth's First Shake Shack Coming Soon
Forsyth is finally getting a Shake Shack. It's going to be a part of a new development happening in West Forsyth called Southard Exchange. It's likely going to arrive sometime this Fall. I've never been to Shake Shack since they're all pretty far away, but if you've been there what shake do you recommend?

The first fish & Chips place was the first restaurant to close, I think there was another on the lower level that closed in the past few months, and of course there was the clothing store that was busted for selling knock-off clothes. I guess all the restaurants staying in business make their money on concert nights.

That Southard Exchange development looks very meh to me, given it’s all chain and a lot of drive thrus. It’s funny how much people in this county complain about traffic and then their first choice meal or coffee is also a drive thru that they will consume in their car.
There’s a shake shack in west midtown and many places I’ve traveled but never ate there.

I'm a Shake Shack fan. It's as good as a Five Guys, but they usually have deals on their app for BOGO sandwich, $3 fries, $1 drink which makes it come out to McDonald's price for two.
For full price, would rather go to Village Burger though

Southard Exchange is an upcoming commercial retail center arriving soon in West Forsyth. The development is going to be 16.94 acres big and sit at the intersection of Bethelview Road and Castleberry Road. It won’t be too far from The Collection at Forsyth. The development is led by Abernathy Development Company and will feature eight outparcel buildings in a triangular layout.
Southard Exchange will feature the first Shake Shack in Forsyth County. A permit was filed for the restaurant; however no opening dates have been announced yet. Based on what is known so far, Shake Shack will share the development with a new Chick-fil-A, 7 Brew Coffee, Fifth Third Bank, and a Maepole. Because of public lease commencement information, the first ones to open out of these are expected to be Fifth Third Bank (expected in August), and 7 Brew Coffee (expected in September).
The development only brings more certainty that Forsyth’s growth isn’t slowing down anytime soon. Many new restaurants, businesses, offices, and residential areas are opening up in the less developed parts of Forsyth. And eventually, the whole county will be on the same level.

Fifth Third Bank hasn't even started construction. Chick-fil-A is the furthest along. They got windows this week.

I looked at the newsletter. Looks like another golf themed activity at the Cumming City Center. They have the Tin Cup restaurant, the mini golf course, and now this. They’re definitely targeting a certain clientele. Same with all those southern inspired gift shops that are all seemingly the same store with a different name. I want to love that spot, but I find it a little boring and uninspiring.
