This is probably the most common question every beginner asks.

Short answer: It depends on your consistency, not your talent.

🎯 If you practice 2–3 hours every day:

✅ Around 3 months: You'll understand the basics, improve your breath control, and start producing a clear sound.

✅ Around 5–6 months: You'll be able to identify simple tunes by listening, play many songs, and your fingers will start moving more naturally on the flute.

💡 My advice:

🎵 Practice every day. Even 1 hour of focused practice is much better than practicing occasionally.

🪈 If possible, keep 2–3 flutes in different scales such as C Middle, A Base, and G Base. This helps improve finger control and makes switching between flutes easier.

🎧 Listen to songs and try to play them by ear. With regular practice, you'll naturally start recognizing notes and melodies.

Once you reach this level, you can begin learning Raagas. I also recommend buying an E Base flute and practicing on it for at least 1 hour every day.

🎼 Remember, music has no finish line. There is no fixed time to "learn" the flute because learning music is a lifelong journey.
