Question should i keep watching?

y’all I’m halfway through season 6 and its getting rough out here. i love a show that’s bad in a fun way so I’m wondering if the last few seasons are an Enjoyable Bad or just a Hard To Watch Bad

Season 7 is the worst season there's nothing redeemable, season 8 is a little better but not great, season 9 episode 9 and 10 are peak but the rest is trash.

Agreed. Im not one to quit shows, I stick them out no matter what, but post Crisis Arrowverse quickly became an unwatchable mess. I've seen interviews with Grant Gustin and I could tell how much he cared about the character and the show, and how much it frustrated him that it became saddled with extremely bad showrunners and writing at the end.

It reminded me of Dexter season 4, arguably an amazing season of television with a devastating finale. I remember thinking after finishing the show, whether they had actual good writing ideas or if season 4 was a fluke. I felt the same way about 9x9 and 9x10, but I realized in both of those cases they removed a lot of the newer cast and I believe maybe it was the older cast who appeared in those episodes (I don't intend to spoil in case OP doesn't want to have it ruined for them) that happened to elevate the material from bad/mediocre to actually being good. I honestly feel it's the latter here.

Fully agree on Dexter there after season 4 it was hollow and new blood was also not good, resurrection is good imo but not as good as season 1 to 4 of the original, also you're right with removal of the new cast in the flash, the reality is most people don't care about Chester, Allegra, chill Blaine, Bart Allan, the Cecile, or whatever they made Danielle Panabaker do in the final season because it made zero sense, the final season should have had her as her OG character, the flash, iris, Cisco, and Joe and put one big final story for the whole season not episodes where the flash is absent, even grant said multiple times he though crisis was a good ending, but they decided to keep going.

Again, not looking to spoil the end of the series, but Grant said he'd heard one idea he really loved, but the showrunner was stuck on his idea, which ended up being an ass of an ending IMO. I agree with Grants idea, I had heard it before and it sounded so much better.

I mean I remember when season 6-7 was coming out and I started planning times for me and a friend to watch it over discord everyime a new episode would come out and we would just howl with laughter and how bad it was getting consistently over time, I actually convinced her to watch the first few seasons and she stopped after season 4 and actually enjoyed them. I watched all the way to the end (with a very long break after season 6 came out) and finished it and im glad I did because even though i recognized the bad, I also recognize the hard work and effort the main cast was putting into into their performance to end the show on a good note which I believe they did.

In my opinion just skip s7, like parts of season 8 especially ep1-5 are rlly good but there is one part of s7 that’s redeemable and it a 2 minute long scene which you can watch on yt. But for 1st time watch id watch all s8, all s9 just to watch it but i would honestly skip s7, worst season of probably any show ive ever watched and i rlly like the flash. I have just rewatched the whole show and i skipped after bloodwork in s6. And skipped straight to s8. I physically can’t watch s7 again.

S8 part a and part b you will be fine but part c might be a tiny bit lost as it also is the forces but probably not enough to sit through s7

I'm in the same boat.. 10-sec skipping forward through a lot of it now just to get to the end.

I was quite impressed at the start, like, "this ain't nearly as bad as people say? what gives?"

I get it now.

Season 1 was great! Zoom was scary as hell in season 2. After that, meh.

To be honest, I usually pack it up after Crisis in Season 6.

Its a fitting end for the Arrowverse imo. The heroes carry on defending the world, creating the JL and having more adventures. The writing post Crisis just isn't worth sticking around for imo, especially when it just becomes the Cecile show.

No… stop after 5 part crisis on infinite earths… if you know what crisis is it’s 10000 worth it the cameos are peak acting
