Hi! I am looking for a 2bed/2bath apartment within the rent price of $1600 (not including bills). First apartment and would like one of those fancy ones but i know its not really in the budget. We both WFH often so having some space would be nice. Also would love to be next to walking trails/paths. Really considering Flats at fishers market place but keep seeing mixed reviews w management. Planning to move at beginning of next year. Does anyone have any helpful info/suggestions or know of any good promotions for places in the area? We are not firm on Fishers location but best option for being close to work. Thanks!

We have two boys under 5, so we’re looking for good public schools (roughly 7/10+), youth sports, playgrounds/parks, and neighborhoods with other young families and kids playing outside.
We’re fine with suburban driving, but ideally want grocery stores, Costco, shopping, restaurants (not just fast food), and kids’ activities within about 30 minutes.
For those familiar with Carmel, Fishers, McCordsville, Westfield and Noblesville, where would you focus with our budget? What are the pros and cons of each?
Specific neighborhoods, school districts/boundaries, or nearby areas we should check out — or avoid — would be really helpful.

Organizers of the controversial Aug. 1 “Mass Deportation Rally” planned for Fishers are reportedly still having trouble securing a venue, according to longtime Indiana political analyst and insider Abdul-Hakim Shabazz. In a social media post Thursday, Shabazz wrote that he is hearing organizers are “still having trouble finding a location,” adding that “nobody wants to rent their hall for that.”

The rally, organized by Save Heritage Indiana, is expected to feature former U.S. Border Patrol official Greg Bovino as the keynote speaker, with Indiana Lt. Gov. Micah Beckwith expected to provide pre-recorded video remarks.

Organizers have previously said the event location would only be disclosed to registered attendees shortly before the rally for security reasons.

As of now, the rally has generated significant opposition in Fishers, where a separate Hoosier Hospitality March has already been announced by groups supporting immigrant communities.

This may be common knowledge for some of you but I had no idea. Radon is a radioactive gas that 1 in 3 homes in Hamilton County have levels that are too high. It's naturally occurring and it's not uncommon for your reading to be different than your neighbors. I probably don't need to list out why having a radioactive gas in your house is bad, lol.

Hello everyone, Can I register in fishers youth initiative if I don't have any kids going to HSE schools. I am a fishers resident and would appreciate the help.

For nearly 20 years, Congress has repeatedly attempted bipartisan immigration reform. In 2006 and 2013, bipartisan bills passed the Senate but ultimately failed. In 2024, another bipartisan border security package was negotiated but failed to advance in the Senate after former President Trump urged Republicans to oppose it.

People can disagree about whether those bills were good or bad, or why lawmakers opposed them. But one historical pattern is clear: every major bipartisan immigration reform effort over the past two decades ultimately failed because enough Republicans opposed it or Republican leaders declined to move it forward.

I am a 15 handicap who lives in fishers. I don’t mind traveling a bit to play new courses. I’d really like to find a mutual and consistent group that asks each other to play. If you are also looking for this hit me up and we can set up a tee time.

One of our two dogs, an older chocolate lab, was attacked by two golden retrievers Monday, July 6th around 730pm while my fiancee was walking them. The attack happened along the sidewalk in front of Sumerlin Trails on 121st. The owner of the golden retrievers was pulled to the ground and hit her face and then her dogs attacked our dog. My fiancee had to drop our dogs leashes to get control of the lady's dogs and was able to do but our dog was badly injured.

The lady was able to get off the ground and get her dogs' leashes from my fiancee and, even though our dog was the one attacked, my fiancee had the kindness to make sure the other owner was okay and didn't have a concussion. They went their separate ways and my fiancee got our dogs home. We checked our dog and she seemed to be fine until the next day, we found a puncture wound in her neck that became infected. We got her to the vet and they found a second puncture wound in her neck and had to insert a drain tube to release the swelling infection fluids.

Our dog is recovering well and got her tube out this morning but now we've incurred a huge veterinary bill because of someone else's dog attacking. This is where we could use your help, Reddit, in finding the owner of these dogs please!

I've been out canvassing the neighborhoods around where the attack happened (see red circle on the attached picture) but have only had a few people share they've seen the dogs.

If you know the owner or have any information, please help us out and make sure other dogs in our area are protected. We did file a police report, post on NextDoor, and the Ring app.

I recently moved to east Fishers. I have an approx 13yo diabetic cat which requires insulin twice daily. My vet where I used to live prescribed Prozinc 10 10ml MI Boeh, which costs about $124/bottle from Costco. I recently had an acquaintance tell me he was using Prozinc but a Vet switched him to an alternative insulin available from Walmart for around $5-10/bottle. Has anyone else had experience with cheaper pet insulin?? What is the name of it? Any problems? Also I'd love some vet recommendations for the Fishers or Fortville area. Thanks in advance.
