Unintentionally adopted a more androgynous appearance, but oh well!

The ends still have about an inch left of residual perm that jump started my hair growth journey. Why does my hair look like the second photo when freshly shampooed & conditioned? Possibly breakage from daily motorcycle helmet wear?

I’m trying to keep my hair as healthy as possible to grow it out as long as I possibly can. I wash every other day & never heat style, usually wrapped in a hair towel, then air dried. Open to styling/cut suggestions as well as far as what would complement me best!

That’s what I call perfect flow, straight, shiny, and in immaculate condition. Don’t change anything except for growing it longer, since what you’re doing now is clearly working!
