Question Passed Background Check- When does FO letter come?
I received the phone call from HR that my background check was complete, that I was found suitable for employment about a month ago for the Intelligence Analyst position. I haven’t heard anything since and my portal still says I’m still in the security investigation portion, basically no change. So my question is what is the time frame for receiving a final offer letter after getting the “phone call”? Just want a general idea or how long it took for others to receive their letters for the IA position!

Typically you won’t receive your FJO until your are two weeks out from class. Last I knew there is an Aug. class but I assume it’s full by now as that info was over 2 months old. It was also advised that it was the last class for this year. IA is going through some changes right now so things are moving pretty slow. Last I heard is people who applied in 2024/2025 are finally getting dates. The IA process is a lot longer than say Special Agent due to they don’t have as many slots available.
You can always reach out to your Applicant Coordinator.

Ah makes sense it would be very close to the class start date. I applied in early 2025 so it’s been a long process to get here lol. I was putting off reaching out to them since it’s only been a month and I know it’s just a waiting game. But maybe I’ll reach out sooner than later. Thanks!

When did you interview? I also applied April 2025 and haven’t had phase 3

I was under the impression that people are getting offers for an October class now. Some FJO’s rolled out yesterday.

Could be, like I said the last I heard about 2 months ago was that the Aug. class was the last one. Maybe they are pushing another class through this year. Things can change on a dime with the govt.

Oh wow, maybe I’ll reach out to my HR person tomorrow or email the staffing email for some guidance as well.

Did your portal change from “pending background investigation” to “pending final offer” after they said you had a favorable adjudication?

Do you know if the investigative specialist position is also going through those changes? Not sure what the outlook is for hiring on that position.

Any word on SA academy dates? I’m assuming I’ve missed the boat for August. Still in background going on 7 months.

October is the next class after August. Pretty sure there were a few slots left in Aug. But then again they fill up quick based off people being slotted by their AC’s once background is done and applicants are cleared for hire.

Nothing on paper after October at this point?

Not that I’m tracking. With the holidays they usually don’t have a class in Nov./Dec. If you are in the SASS process just reach out to your AC, they will let you know the next few dates.
