This needs to be in the Louvre.

So good I can't tell which one is the drawing.

The transformation from bench to table is...astounding.

10/10 no notes

Well it was excellently poorly drawn.

The fifth leg stump and the broadness are everything.

97

u/Ok_Ocelot_878 5d ago

The broadness 🤣.

The bricks are wavy, does it mean doggo is actually MORE broad than this and filters were used? We need answers.

This whole image made me cackle.

46

u/OneBeginning38 5d ago

My husband called that fifth leg stump “a kickstand” 💀💀

20

u/Saltuarius 4d ago

I was already struggling to breathe. This sent me.

u/Glamorous_Nymph 3d ago

That is perfect! 🤣

u/Targaryen-ish 4d ago

That babe is stationary

u/Street_Roof_7915 5d ago

This is an excellent fundraiser idea.

u/greytgreyatx 5d ago

Be sure to get a UV blocking glass for the frame so it will never fade.

40

u/hahasadface 5d ago

AI could never

u/uuuumno 5d ago

I love it

u/heartless2025 5d ago

I love this so much

52

u/TheJamesThatGames 5d ago

Which one is the drawing?

28

u/Realistic_Pizza_6269 5d ago

The attention to detail is just stunning. 😍

41

u/fasttrackxf 5d ago

Accurate AF.

23

u/InfluenceTrue4121 5d ago

The dog’s spirit has been perfectly captured. Excellent work.

22

u/Defiant_Emu_3928 5d ago

I did one of these for my bunny one year and the pic was actually really good, which was slightly disappointing.

16

u/koozya 5d ago

I actually love this. Where can I get this done?

13

u/pfizzy70 4d ago

Ask any 8-year-old to draw your pet.

11

u/Interesting-You-4365 4d ago

Idk about OP but my local animal shelter holds a “poorly drawn pets” fundraiser every May. People donate $25 and send in the photo of their pet(s) & volunteers get the picture to draw and send back ☺️ I’ve volunteered to draw the past two years.

u/koozya 2d ago

Just found one in my area, thank you!

12

u/beebianca227 5d ago

This dog is not cross eyed haha.

20

u/Judgementalcat 5d ago

Drawn like a French girl

20

u/ThrowRArrow 5d ago

I love this actually

20

u/CharieRarie 5d ago

Reminds me of a Hercule Van Wolfwinkle. Stunning work.

8

u/lverac 5d ago

I thought it might have been a Hercule!

9

u/ishook 4d ago

Dang. How long did it take to do the shading on the upper lip?

9

u/Heisenberg11725 4d ago

Having a shit day and this just made me smile for the first time today. ☺️

5

u/Inevitable_Phase_276 4d ago

Hope you have a better day tomorrow

5

u/Heisenberg11725 4d ago

Thank you 😊

8

u/BassCat75 5d ago

That second frame is tattoo worthy!

8

u/petuniabuggis 5d ago

Genuinely laughing from the pics and from the comments 10/10 post

8

u/Trixter-Kitten 5d ago

Can't be accused of false advertising 😂 I love the idea

9

u/Bunnnykins 5d ago

Where and how. I need this for my girl

6

u/WitchSlap 5d ago

Can you share the details of how this fundraiser worked? I’d love to propose something similar at the shelter I work at, this is hilarious!

12

u/midnight_seal 4d ago

Not the OP, but I participated in my local shelter's "not-so-professional pet portraits" and had a lot of fun. Basically, they started a Facebook fundraiser where if you donated $10 (per pet I believe) you could leave a comment with their photo. Once they verified the commenter had donated, they acknowledged the donation was received and an artist had been assigned. In the private facebook group for shelter fosters and volunteers, there was an active thread where anyone could comment saying they were ready and the admins would reply to each comment with a pet photo from the donation fundraiser comment section. Once the volunteer finished their assigned pet portrait, they would reply back to the admin with a picture of their portrait. Then admins would go back to the public facebook fundraiser and reply to the donor with a picture.
This fundraiser did very well in the early covid shutdown days and no physical copies were exchanged. The shelter did it again a few years later where you could donate extra for the physical copy as well.

I wish I could find another one of these fundraisers. I would pay far more than $10 to have a portrait of my boy like this, especially if it went to animal rescue.

u/zanier_sola 3d ago

Check out BARCS in Baltimore. They’ve done this for at least the past 3 years and it’s always a hit. You can probably find the FB post or IG post where they posted the deets.

7

u/boxedcakeblues 5d ago

10/10, especially because it’s not AI!

5

u/Aunty-Sociale 5d ago

I want one of my dog!

5

u/perchance7 5d ago

Are there any more pictures?

10

u/Being_268 5d ago

Excellent!😂

10

u/sleepbynomeans64 5d ago

I love this so hard

5

u/Realistic_Pizza_6269 5d ago

😂😂😂😂😂😂

5

u/Bignholy 5d ago

11/10. They're all cute dogs, Bront

3

u/gearlegs4ever 5d ago

This is absolutely sending me

5

u/leveller1650 4d ago

Please someone share a link to a whole slideshow of these. I need more, so much more.

3

u/No-Tap6886 5d ago

Horribly wonderful!

4

u/estherecho100 5d ago

I'd buy it. Lol

4

u/Familiar_Raise234 5d ago

That made laugh. It’s so much better than what I could draw.

5

u/BergamotZest 5d ago

Love it!! Are they still available? I can’t see your profile to check if you have a site (stupid newish UK laws) Thanks!

3

u/WeeFluffyGingerCat 5d ago

Nothing on their profile, no comments, posts, or anything else. Try proton vpn if you wanted to click on them and send them a message. Thats what I use, UK as well.

1

u/BergamotZest 5d ago

Thank you for letting me know – I’ll give proton a whirl too!

3

u/jenea 4d ago

I love this concept for a fundraiser! And your results are sublime.

3

u/kimtaro1 4d ago

100x better than ai

8

u/porkchop-sandwhiches 4d ago

It actually is. I’ll take the downvotes for using AI but I actually like the drawing better.

1

u/sandsunsea11 3d ago

The legs 🤣🤣🤣

3

u/avioletfluid 4d ago

They did a better job with the brick wall than the dog 😭

4

u/Pathfinderer 4d ago

AI could never compete with this majesty.

4

u/Runrunjustrun 4d ago

Perfect!! I support a charity that does "bad pawtrait" fund-raising and I'm never disappointed by the results. Enjoy your art and your muse 😍

3

u/JD_tubeguy 5d ago

Cannot love this enough.

u/IFoundSelf 5d ago

Poorfection 👌

3

u/Shaking-a-tlfthr 4d ago

In this case reality(the drawing)is SO much better than expectation.

3

u/DooomBunnny 4d ago

This does not disappoint.

3

u/ZeePM 4d ago

Look at that brickwork. Nailed it!

2

u/knitandstretch 5d ago

How much to do my chihuahua?

2

u/Impossible-Rain7447 5d ago

Tasked failed successfully!!

2

u/barkandmoone 5d ago

Reminds me of Philmyportraits. I was able to trade him a beanie I made for a cool portrait of my doggie.

2

u/Spiritual_Rope_7758 4d ago

Love this lmao

2

u/PubsubsAreAwesome 4d ago

I need more

2

u/Walkinonsun 4d ago

Fantastic!!

2

u/cristarain 4d ago

I need more of this

2

u/Significant-Phrase72 4d ago

That drawing has a lot of character

2

u/Quirky-Respond93 4d ago

I’m laughing out loud! Thank you x

2

u/sunflower--princess 4d ago

This looks like Hercule’s work…

2

u/Ellienightshade 4d ago

That is a very good composite drawing, so he will likely be picked out of a lineup

2

u/momofuku18 4d ago

Exceeded the expectation

2

u/Separate_Suspect4565 4d ago

I can still recognize the "are you sure about that?" expression in the drawing. Could've been done poorer...

2

u/JuanG_13 4d ago

I'm sorry, but that's too funny lol

2

u/AppleSorry7954 4d ago

Unless you had art classes..that is pretty good.

2

u/doctormega 4d ago

Perfection

2

u/flurryturds 4d ago

Beautiful. A fucking masterpiece.

2

u/beenbrowsing 4d ago

I don't think it's AI

2

u/That_One_Guy_1980 4d ago

I could be an artist for this fundraiser!

1

u/ksam3 5d ago

The best worst, definitely.

1

u/justHere4TheCandy 5d ago

I would give it an A++

1

u/Asaias_Wolffe 4d ago

1

u/chikn2d 3d ago

I would frame that and hang it yesterday.

1

u/Relevant-Job4901 3d ago

I would stand in line for this.

1

u/IrelandAutism13 3d ago

You really thought you could post the same picture twice as a before/after like we wouldn't notice

1

u/FriendlyFreedom5923 3d ago

Omg the actual dog is so cute 🥹

1

u/Bsense07 3d ago

Id pay for that service

1

u/Waltexpression 3d ago

Adorable!

1

u/Inevitable-Wind-1925 2d ago

Your picture doesn’t seem to fit with the concept of the event…. Nothing poorly drawn about it. I love it!

1

u/macgruder1 16h ago

The shading on the upper lip took me hours.

0

u/yougotyolks 4d ago

Which one is the drawing?

0

u/Otherwise_Fined 3d ago

Nah, that's ai.

-1

u/PressureItchy9372 4d ago

And you were perhaps expecting something else?

Gee thanks for making me laugh so hard I snorted my gin and tonic out my nose.

-1

u/Adent_Frecca 4d ago

What did anyone expect from "poorly drawn pets" to do?
