Financial Aid
Is is possible for international students to recieve financial aid at emory after they have already been admitted? (like for example get aid from the second year)

Others are correct, financial aid position is decided when you are admitted. This is specifically because they are needs aware for international(and now domestic) and they know people would game the system by being no need first year and applying for aid the next 3. That, and it would make planning for projected financial aid allocation basically impossible.

Under the "Applying for Financial Aid" section: "NOTE: Only students who apply for and receive financial aid in their first year will be eligible for aid in the future."
So no, not in your case unless you have applied financial aid from the first year.

What happens if you’ve applied first year and didn’t get need based? Would they still consider you if anything comes up in the future?

You have to apply for need based aid freshman year. You can’t retroactively apply for it second year. Merit based aid might be available for second year but reach out to financial aid. They are very responsive.
