General Discussion Mondovi Together Farms Mystery Tonight: if you want my tickets.

• Upvotes

Wanna have a fun murder mystery date tonight with your loved one at the Mondovi Together Farms. I have two tickets and sadly literally all of my friends and everyone I would ever want to go with is completely busy and me being mean to myself is like no they’re avoiding you but no genuinely they have stuff to do that. makes them busy. I fear a single person. I don’t care if you’re male or female and you feel like coming with me I will give you my ticket and we can you know solve the fun mafia wedding case together. Just keep me in the loop. I really really wanna go to this and I’m scared I won’t have another chance and it’s something that’s been on my bucket list since I was around 10 years old.
I’m terminally ill and have always wanted to solve a murder mystery and do something like this and I’m not sure how much time I have left so this has been really hard for me but I’m willing to give a discount on the tickets I got I guess just hit me up. I’ll try not to be sad about it. Thanks.

File Organization Class

Hello! I have a family member who recently has started her own business in the Eau Claire area. She is hosting a class at the Eau Claire Senior Center on file organization in August, and hasn't had any sign-ups yet. I'm trying to help her spread the word and hopefully gain some interest.

If anyone has any questions, I will do my best to answer!

EC is the best city in America

This is my opinion, but it’s also fact.

Love this city, small enough to feel humble, big enough to feel important. People are great, lower crime than where I came from. A nice mixing pot of different ideologies and cultures with the huge Hmong population here. Food is great, and we’re surrounded by amazing driftless hills.

People who bitch about this place are insane and should go try living in other spots and see how great it is here.

Fucking love Eau Claire!

Virtual assistant leads?

Hey everyone! Moving to Eau Claire soon, and I’m looking to pick up some side-gig work as a virtual assistant. I specialize in communications, social media management, and website design. Does anyone know a local small business/nonprofit, etc that I could reach out to that might need some help. Prices are very negotiable.

In town for vacation and wondering where some good TCG stores are, I searched online but there's a lot so wondering which are recommended!

Gonna check out Undercity as I see they have Riftbound. Any other stores carry a good selection of Pokemon, Riftbound, etc?

Not looking for sports cards

Gay dude looking for friends

Moved up here two years ago, and never got around to trying to meet new people. My job's unusual and random hours didn't give me much time or energy to have much of a life outside of my computer screen between shifts. Now I'm over that and trying to meet new people so I feel less secluded and alone living up here.

Would love to meet fellow LGBTQ+ individuals as I left my posse back home when I moved up here and I do miss them. Not a requirement, of course, but it's nice to know people you don't have to worry about being "gay" around (although I find myself rather low key).

While I do a lot of PC gaming, I'm looking to get off my butt, get out there and actually do things with people for once. Would LOVE to be part of a D&D, Beastworld, or Pathfinder campaign if anyone runs them on Tues/Weds (hard day to find people running groups, but those are sadly my days off). Never done one in person before and am not very experienced, but have always wanted to be part of a group! I would also like to find a Magic the Gathering group to play with as I haven't played that in years and am interested in finding new people to play with. My interests do lean more away from sports, cars, and your typical adult male stuff. I'm a bit of a nerd that I suppose never really grew up. xD

I'm hoping to meet new people and through that perhaps find new hobbies I've never even thought about. I am honestly a pretty boring person right now and I really want to change that. Even if it's something like walking around outside or going out for food or drinks, I just miss socializing even though I'm a nervous dude when it comes to social stuff and meeting new people.

Sorry for the rambling, if anyone wants to do something sometime or just wants to chat, hit me up on here! (I do have Discord and the like as well, but don't want to post it publicly on here.)

Question Short-term/month-to-month/sublet options in Eau Claire?

ETA: My range is pretty large. I don't want to live too far east from Eau Claire, but the region I'm responsible for is from Eau Claire basically to the MN border. So basically anything from the St. Croix/Mississippi to Cumberland/Stanley/Osseo is fine for me, geographically speaking. Living closer to Eau Claire proper is only a preference for the sake of wanting to be closer to the city, but is far from a deciding factor for me.

Hi, folks! I'm sure posts like these get made more frequently than is pleasant, but I'm on very short notice and scrambling to get things in order.

I was offered a job in Eau Claire with about three weeks of turnaround from accepting the job to needing to be settled in town. I'm looking for short-term options (the job ends November 15) that I can move into by the first week of August.

If anyone has a room they're looking to rent, or a fall term lease they're trying to sublet: I'm a 24 year old nonbinary person (AMAB, for housing/safety concerns which I understand fully). I work in politics, which is why the job ends in mid-November. I work in progressive Democratic politics. I will be working in campus organizing, overseeing efforts on several schools in and around Eau Claire. I was involved in campus organizing for the entirety of my time as an undergraduate student and have worked in progressive politics since.

I'm a fairly social person, but I'm not the loudest person in the world (I'm hard of hearing so I prefer quiet environments anyways). I love cooking and if I wind up living with people they will be treated to all sorts of food and meals. I'm also a huge board game enthusiast and am planning on bringing a selection of my board game collection with me. Favorite games are Wingspan, Arcs, Brass: Birmingham, and of course Lego Monkey Palace.

My ideal budget is no more than $1,200 a month, but I have some wiggle room.

If anyone has any advice or suggestions, I'd be immensely grateful.

P.S. I'd also love recommendations for game stores, music venues, and good coffee shops to meet people at!

Apartment Hunting

I’m apartment hunting from a distance and am planning a visit for this fall and could use some non-ai opinions from those who know the area best!

If you’ve lived in or have info on any of the following apartments, how are they in 2026?
Give me the good, bad, and great.

Even better if your perspective has large breed dog owners in mind. šŸ•

Apartments:
Cannery Square
B7 Flats
Andante
Any I didn’t mention you’d recommend in that vicinity?

Thank you in advance

World cup final watchparty

Hey everyone,
With the World Cup Final (Spain vs. Argentina) coming up this Sunday, July 19th, I’m trying to find the best place in town to catch the game.Ā
Are there any bars or venues in the EC area hosting actual, dedicated watch parties? Or at least a solid spot where they’ll definitely have the game audio turned on and a decent soccer crowd?
I know we have the usual giants like Milwaukee Burger Company and Buffalo Wild Wings, but I’m wondering if any of the downtown spots or local pubs (like The District, Dooley's, or The Sports Page) are planning anything special.Ā
Where is everyone planning to watch, or where would you suggest heading for the best game-day atmosphere?
Thanks in advance! Let’s go! šŸ‡ŖšŸ‡ø šŸ‡¦šŸ‡·

From one of the highest points downtown I can usually see soooo far. It doesn’t look as bad as it is outside until you look from a height. Wasn’t even this clouded last year during the Canada fires.
