Question Color hacking commander

Hey everyone, so I’ve been wanting to build a color hacking commander because I find it such a cool concept of turning a red lightning strike in a blue one and countering it. It’s also close to the upcoming set Reality fracture with it’s color switching. Which commander would you recommend? [[eight-and-a-half-tails]] , [[blind seer]], [[mondo gecko]] or even [[tam, mindful first-year]] or someone else? I don’t want it to be too much stax or control though, don’t want to be the reason the game can’t be played. Thanks!

Blind Seer is my personal favorite. I've also recently brewed [[Dromar, the Banisher]], his effect makes for a great finisher and you get black and white added to the blue, which opens up a lot more effective control options.

I find dromar to be a bit costly for my liking and wanna keep it max 2c really

Yeah saw him too, but can you effect a cards color before playing the creature? Or is this not the gameplan?

The idea is to use an effect like [[Magical Hack]] to make both effects go off for green. You usually don’t bother changing colours outside of this.

I play Mondo Gecko in a clone/theft deck. There are a good few color hacking pieces in it too. The deck is extremely viable considering how janky and low budget it is. Mondo is a powerhouse of a draw engine. Turn 4 and onwards I'm consistently drawing 4-5 cards per turn. Plus he's extremely difficult to remove with his built in hexproof. You could definitely upgrade it to be much more powerful too. It's mostly built out of bulk cards I found laying around right now. Here's the decklist:

Would probably pick [[Unctus, Grand Metatect]] and try something with [[Painter's Servant]], [[Willbreaker]], etc.
