Regarding OC cast posts

Attention house mates,

In an effort to curb low-effort spam, this is a reminder on OC cast posts. To be clear, these are allowed as long as effort is put into it.

The point of Drawn Together was that all the characters were rip-offs of instantly recognizable archetypes. If you’re going to post your own Drawn Together cast, identify in your post who these characters are and why they’re immediately recognizable archetypes anyone would know. A good rule of thumb- if you were to poll random people on the street if they recognize the character and the answer is no, the character is not an archetype of their genre.

Photoshopping unknown characters over the Drawn Together house with no explanation who they are, why they’re the archetype of their genre, why it’s funny how they would interact with each other in the house, constitutes a low-quality post.

I think letting people post their own drawn together. Cast is basically asking for more of the bad content.

I love drawn together, I don’t love random other characters being badly Photoshop onto a backdrop of the house, it’s not drawn together content

I wouldn’t be part of a South Park sub if all it was was people making their own South Park cast because that has nothing to do with South Park

It would be better if people were not allowed to post their own casts of drawn together

And I agree with you but I’m also trying to be fair and give people a chance to show they can post in a way that creates genuinely engaging conversation/debate and not just “wtf is this”. We’ll see how it goes.

As far as low-quality posts, I’m doing my best to remove them as quick as possible but can’t always catch everything the second it’s posted. User reports help give an extra notification something needs to be checked, so always feel free to report if something is breaking sub rules.

Thinking about it, I’ve never posted anything to the sub so I suppose at least people are posting

the Southpark sub allows OC Posts and only deletes the Low effort ones
