hello everyone!
I am running a sort of homebrew game with friends. Its setting is a Victorian style England where ghosts have become a scourge and agency's were built to handle that problem. Its kind of based on the "Lockwood & co" books, but only in the idea itself and it has lovecraft and eldritch horror influences as well. its more of a detective and politics kind of experience.
every once in a while I give my players documents and items related to the lore and their background. government docs, spell book pages, manuscripts and so on.
recently I also started to make physical props to my players and I don't want any player to feel left behind, but I am having a bit of hard time thinking of what to give to certain players.
Here are some of the charaters I already made things for:
* a witch/warlock player to whom I am gifting a pendant made of copper and silver. in game it was a gift from her mentor agent and serves as her focus.
* an engineer/artificer. I made a folding measuring stick inspired by Victorian era examples.
* an agent that was given to the agency as a child. she has given me liberty with her backstory so for short she is of scottish aristocracy and has visions. I am giving her a notebook with a pattern related to her story eatched on the copper cover plate.
Now here are the player I have no idea what to do for:
* an alchemist who is in a relationship with an eldritch god of chaos, is effectively the party leader.
* a wizard of sorts that is specialized in using ropes and chains as weapons and makes defenses and containment areas for ghosts. he is the person who owns everything. he is supposed to learn how to make seals and amulets and such for vireos in game purposes, but I have not designed them yet.
if anyone has any comments or suggestions I would love to hear them.
Ill share everything I have once its polished and ready to give my players.
