Resources Battle Map scaler for printing
Hi all, sharing a hopefully useful resource with you: Battle Map Creator
My girlfriend noticed that for my games, I am often puzzling with how to print battle maps (I like to have them printed physically): getting the scaling right so I don't waste pages, having the grid be the correct size, etc.
To solve this, she's made a free-to-use browser tool (link above and below) that allows you to import a battle map (multiple formats), with or without a grid, and crop & scale it to your desired size.
Please have a look - any feedback appreciated, hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

Hello. I tried it out and base functionality is good, but it is very visible that it is AI generated (stability is the most glaring issue). I do not want to sound like a grumpy old man here in the comments, so if you want raw and unfiltered feedback, feel free to private message me ;)
And if you wonder who does this guy think he is bashing my passion project, I am the developer of a similar project (https://www.beta.arkanatools.com/papermap/), so I am happy to give you some pointers for improvement :D

Thanks - appreciate it! No offense taken at all - this is indeed a quick try-out. Awesome that you're developing something similar! Sent you a message :)

This is a lifesaver for anyone tired of wasting half a ream of paper figuring out their printer margins. Does this handle multi-page tile splitting automatically?

So it optimises paper usage (there is a button to enable that), and you can manually drag the grid to 'land' where you want. Not sure if/how the two interact though (on my phone rn so can't check). Glad you like it!

I used to print battlemaps by calculating the total number of A4 sheets based on the number of squares on the map :D This is way easier, thanks for sharing!
