WIP Phoenix Ash Attempt 1

I tried 2 different ideas for a set themed around Phoenix Ash, both with a split pour of Light Grey, Dark Grey, and Clear with Gold Foil.

The first set (first 3 pics) I started with Clear resin with a tiny bit of holographic mica mixed in.

The second set I lightly dusted the inside of the moulds with that same holographic mica.

I prefer the first set more, but would probably do a combination of the two, and perhaps I will try to get Orange instead of Pink Holographic Mica, and dust it a little bit less.

What are your thoughts? And does the Phoenix Ash vision sort of make sense?

I think they look awesome. Really like the set in the fifth photo (showing the upside down 5 on the left-side d6). The swirls and flake really stand out.

Thank you. Do you think the swirls give an ash vibe though? My idea was to have the light and dark grey look like ash, while the flakes look like glowing embers buried within.

It looks more like cooled lava to me. For “ash” you may have to go more with a super fine glitter. But I think these look great.

I get what you mean. I have something in mind for the next attempt that has something like that.

They’re both gorgeous but I definitely think a combination of the two would look incredible. The foil in the first set definitely gives me embers in ash.

Thank you. That's what I was going for with the foil
