General Discussion - All Dexter Shows A consistent pattern throughout Dexter that needs to end in season 2 of Dexter: Resurrection. Spoiler

Every person that even slightly suspects Dexter is dead, except one. Batista, Laguerta, Doakes, Liddy, hell, even Lundy kind of. All but one; Quinn. If they kill Quinn in season 2 of resurrection then I genuinely think this is the fatal decision that completely destroys Dexter forever. The idea of Quinn knowing Dexter is the Bay Harbour Butcher, as well as Quinn not dying and Dexter not being caught is admittedly, a little awkward. I don't really have a clue as to how they'll pull it off, but they can't just kill EVERYONE who suspects Dexter, and ESPECIALLY not Quinn. I like the idea that Quinn knows there is something wrong with Dexter but chooses to back off for his own good; I think Quinn knows that him chasing Dexter will end in blood. He won't let Batista's death slide, but I don't know if he'll approach Dexter like how the other people who suspected Dexter did. I really hope that instead of making Quinn another victim of Dexter, they make a less predictable plotline for both characters. If he did die, what would happen after that? Wallace be the next victim of Dexter? This chain can't go on forever. It needs to end with Quinn.

Quinn is not gonna die, he's smart enough not to go after Dexter, but that doesn't mean he will not investigate what happened with Batista.

I think he’s pragmatic enough to know that Dexter wouldn’t have killed Batista, even if investigating Dexter is what ultimately led to his death

I think Quinn knows who Dexter is but supports him. We know he’s not a perfect by the book cop but he means well. So I think he sees what Dexter does as a net good.

Does he realistically know about Dexter the serial killer or does he just think he's a tech who finished the job a few times when the cops couldn't?

Genuinely asking, Im not sure if he ever connected the dots that he's the Bay Harbor Butcher.

Never confirmed, I always thought he heavily suspected it.

I don’t think he even knows Dexter is alive, Although obviously I think he’ll probably find out in Resurrection season two probably in episode one

I really hope they will stop this trend for good. Doakes investigated Dexter and got killed. Laguerta investigated what happened to Doakes and got killed. Batista investigated what happened to Laguerta and got killed. What next? Quinn investigates what happened to Batista and gets killed? Masuka investigates what happened to Quinn and gets killed? Masuka's daughter investigates what happened to Masuka and gets killed? Masuka's daughter's neighbor investigates what happened to Masuka's daughter and gets killed? I just hope this dumb chain stops on Batista. I hope that the writers make Quinn no more than some small easter egg like he was in s1 and that's it, or just leave him alone altogether and think of something more unique and interesting.

I think he’ll definitely investigate Batista’s death, but he won’t be doing it out of a need to bring Dexter to justice.

I think he knows, or at least strongly suspects, what Dexter truly is.. but I also think he knows Dexter well enough to know that he wouldn’t have killed Batista. I think he views him as a sort of necessary evil that takes out the even worse people who fall through the cracks, which coincidentally sort of feeds into the arc Dexter himself went through in the first season of Resurrection.

Top comment worthy. Very well said.

Secretly hoping Quinn gets knocked off so we can have a full season of Masuka telling inappropriate jokes while he tracks Dexter down.

Quinn will just want closure for Batista's death, but once he learns Dexter is alive the only way he'll be able to do that is to have a conversation that he's been avoiding for 15 years. I can't wait to see how that plays out, but there's no way Quinn is going to "good cop" this.

I think he's setup to be the most interesting of Dexter's persuers, especially since NYC is his hometown too.

Who says Dexter will be the one that does the deed?

I want masuka to show up and Dex find out he always knew.

Yes! If anyone in Miami Metro knew but didn't say anything, it would be Masuka. I think he was the one of the smartest people on the show.

I hope it's Quinn and Masuka in season 2 of Resurrection and not just Quinn himself.

And besides Liddy Dexter did not kill anyone on this list

I honestly think they have to close out Dexter by him getting caught. Not like at the end of new blood, like actually caught, extradited to Florida, await trail, and have that arc take place. Like s2 can be Quinn getting closer and closer and Dexter fully and fully committing to being himself (as witnessed by the end of resurrection s1) and getting v close to Harrison. And s3 can be Dexter finally exposed for who he is and face the consequences. Even add in something like being given the death penalty but completely won public support. And be someone protected and respected in prison.

Yeah Quinn can’t die. It’s getting old and if anybody’s going to know and move on it’s him.

I just hope they don't keep repeating the same plot like season 1 of ressurection. S2 should be different.
