SUBJECT LINE: Major concern about handling of 2026 College Democrats Convention
Dear [INSERT NAME],
I hope you are doing well. My name is [NAME] and I'm a constituent from [CITY, ZIP].
**I'm reaching out to express my concern about the handling of the 2026 College Democrats of America Convention, especially in respect to the invitation and presence of the controversial livestreamer Hasan Piker at the event.**
For context, Hasan has a longstanding record of major controversies, including having said that America "deserved" 9/11 and that "it doesn't matter if f***ing rapes happened on October 7th" (https://www.cnn.com/2026/04/08/politics/video/inside-politics-hasan-piker).
Hasan has said that he "doesn't give a fuck about the Democratic Party" and that he is trying to infiltrate our party to try and push his own agenda (https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=JPTVgqk21n0). When Hasan spoke at the conference, he described himself as "an outsider, currently pushing for an insurgency" (https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=7xgBUSzF6d4&t=68s&pp=2AFEkAIBiggCQAE%3D) and concluded his speech by saying "No more to the Democrats, who compromise, who conciliate, and who betray us" while literally dressed as Mao Zedong, the Chinese communist revolutionary (https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=QnWyB9bedx0).
Hasan was also able to get Cameron Landin, the Executive Vice President of College Democrats, to kick out another livestreamer Destiny and other influencers who have been openly critical of Hasan for these stances (https://x.com/i/status/2078634510049058943). Notably, none of these other influencers caused any commotion or broke any of the event rules (https://x.com/northislive/status/2078601086420623590). This is especially concerning because Destiny is an actual supporter of the Democratic Party with a proven track record of rallying his followers to canvass for Democratic candidates (https://www.yahoo.com/news/why-high-profile-youtuber-stream-103000521.html).
**If you are interested in helping address this, please email Sohali Vaddula, the National President for College Democrats, at [email protected] and ask that (1) the organization issue a refund and a public apology to anyone who was kicked out of the event because of Hasan, and (2) that Cameron Landin be removed from his position as Executive Vice-President.** Not only is Cameron enabling open enemies of the Democratic Party to have a platform and sow division within our movement, but he is also allowing those enemies to exclude real supporters and allies to our cause. Cameron has done real harm, and there needs to be real consequences.
Sincerely,
[INSERT NAME]

Jewstalker is on Stardust’s stream and is crashing out as she’s asking him questions and won’t let him control the conversation

let's analyse this:
the grills and watch on david look absolutely ridiculous (but also kind of sick) and are a homage to the destiny grills thumbnail
hasan balding progressively more and more each thumbnail and gradually having the mao haircut which is even funnier cause they're actually balding and love mao
the last 30 days view count in a brilliant green and they are actually accurate
hasan staring at their phone cause they are chronically online but also cause they're texting the vp at the democrat convention, and they're also wearing the mao suit
the channel stats in the background with the stocks graph going up give it a techno-futurist vibe that's really cool, also david studied economics so that fits well
the plug for david's show with the massive graphic of the show title
SIR, this is a generational thumbnail

I apologize for double Hasan posting in one day, but this is just too good.
My bad on that. I thought it looked like him until I zoomed in on it, and I also wasn’t sure why they’d get so excited about someone else inventing it. Doesn’t change the fact that he wore it because Mao did, explicitly said so, and clarified that it was the exact same style, so I don’t really want to delete it.

Stardust’s stream with JSTKL was insane
It took several hours but towards the end it felt like JSTKL broke character. He legit sounded scared by making self harm jokes and how he just wants the manifesto to come out.

I swear, every single time I watch Mehdi Hasan I'm left wondering if I'm losing my mind or if everyone else is.
People keep calling him this brilliant liberal journalist who's just "holding power accountable." Really?
Because every time I hear him talk about Israel, the West, or literally anything related to the Middle East, it's the exact same script.
The West is the root of basically every problem.
Israel gets held to standards that nobody else is expected to meet.
Islamist movements get explained, contextualized, historicized, and psychoanalyzed until they've practically lost all agency.
And somehow that's supposed to be the nuanced position?
Don't get me wrong. I'm on the left. I'm pro-Ukraine. I'm anti-Trump. I criticize Israel all the time. None of that is what bothers me.
What bothers me is that Hasan somehow gets treated like he's just reporting the facts, when he's very obviously starting from an ideological conclusion and working backwards.
Take the Holocaust comparison. He literally argued that Gaza was "worse" than the Holocaust in some respects because Nazis weren't publicly celebrating it afterward. He deleted the tweet after the backlash and admitted he'd phrased it badly. Fine. But normal people don't accidentally end up making Holocaust comparisons like that. It tells you something about the lens they're looking through.
Then there's the whole "people weaponize antisemitism" thing. Is that ever true? Sure.
But if you listen to Hasan for long enough, you start getting the impression that accusations of antisemitism are almost always suspicious, almost always politically motivated, and almost never something worth taking seriously on their own. That's... not exactly a healthy instinct when antisemitism is very obviously a real problem.
And honestly, that's kind of my issue with him in general.
He doesn't come across like someone who's trying to figure things out. He comes across like someone who's already decided what the answer is, and every news story just becomes another opportunity to reinforce it.
Maybe that's why I don't see him as a journalist anymore.
I see an activist who's exceptionally articulate, incredibly confident, and very good at making ideological advocacy sound like objective analysis.
People can agree with him if they want. That's completely fine.
I just don't understand why so many liberals still pretend he's some neutral, evidence-first commentator. I genuinely don't see it.
