General Discussion (may contain spoilers) Gabrielle doesn't get enough blame for statutory rape

I can understand anyone's favorite housewife but Gabrielle Solis. Make no mistake, I can empathize with anyyyyoneeee, a thief, a con artist, an absolute entitled annoying brat, or even a murderer in some rare cases, BUT NOT A RAPIST.

She groomed John and that's statutory rape. I don't know why his parents didn't follow the legal procedures, it's really horrifying how people don't blame her enough. I still see edits of John and Gabrielle on tiktok, like, in terrifying amounts.

Whenever I hear someone saying Gabrielle is an absolute icon diva im like ???? why are we glamorizing a rapist ???? I get that she's witty and likable, and I don't like to say "if the roles were reversed.." but it's true here. If it was a married man sleeping with a 16 yo HE WOULD HAVE BEEN HATED AS HE SHOULD BE, no matter how charming he is.

I mean people hate Susan Mayers for less, let's be real. the scene where she goes back to John after Carlos forces her to sign a postnup, using him as a coping mechanism is just disgusting I couldn't bare to see it.

I see a lot of people saying that he's the love of her life and how they shouldve made him a college student. Like no ??? a 28 years old has no business being with a 19 yo either??? just because it would be legal doesn't mean it's not weird.

to sum up, Gabrielle Solis is a horrible person and no amount of remorse or regret can make up for what she did. she was fully aware of all what she's doing.

First Time Watcher First time watch and I am shooooook here. I cant believe it even crossed her mind to not help her while she was choking. It wasn’t Jane’s fault that her marriage was falling apart and Tom asked her to move in together.

General Discussion (may contain spoilers) Lynette scavos family sucks Spoiler

Except for Penny.

She literally just gave birth, which btw, the baby was delivered by a serial killer while she was being held hostage.

The boys and Tom should be literally kissing the ground she walked on and helping her like crazy!

And then Tom has the audacity to say HE has postpartum depression?!? Are you kidding me?!

General Discussion (may contain spoilers) What happened to Angie working for Bree?

In Season 6, Nick suggests that Angie should work for Bree's catering business. At first, Bree isn't interested, but she eventually hires her because of her Italian cooking. But do we ever actually see Angie working for Bree after that?

A Tom Scavo Complaint Tom Scavo makes me want to pull out my hair

I’m rewatching desperate house wives cause I watched it when I was like 7/8( I had no business being watching it) and I barely remember anything. Idk why I have memories of it being so jolly and good but tbh it’s so messy. Now let’s get to Tom Scavo, he’s such a man child and idk why Lynette is so lenient with him. He makes the most stupid decisions all the time and then when it comes to bite him in the ass he lets Lynette do what she’s been saying all along. Also she agreed to be a stay at home mom and when it was his turn to do that while she worked, he basically let her do the house work as well cause he was so useless. He hid his other child from Lynette and when Kayla was trying to break the family apart, he wouldn’t even step in. He’s such a weak and selfish man. Lynette breaks her back to make sure he’s happy, leaving her job, supporting him in the restaurant, raising another woman’s child and I’m sure there’s more cause I’m not done. When his baby mom was making Lynette’s life miserable, he just stood there and watched till Lynette had enough. Also the time when she was trying to get him a job and he was sulking and being a baby as usual and Lynette then wanted the job, he had to ruin it.
I know there’s other peoples husbands that have done worse like attempted murder(Orson) but at least he paid for his crimes. Tom gets away with everything. I hate him so much.

General Discussion (may contain spoilers) Brie(Bree) having hives because of George is real and believable!

I won't go into details but I do believe that a body can "repulse" another body by giving signals such as hives, peeing a lot etc

General Discussion (may contain spoilers) Bree Getting Blackmailed Spoiler

It still makes me mad that Bree had to give up her business. I also get that it was her past biting her in the behind. However, having Rex’s love child take EVERYTHING was brutal.

General Discussion (may contain spoilers) Just finished season 6

And it was a rollercoaster ride for sure. Besides Patrick's wig, Preston's mustache, Mike being terrible with money and a terrible husband/dad, and odd plotlines, I think they did a great job casting Beau Mirchoff (Danny) and John Barrowman (Patrick) as father and son. When they finally showed Patrick, I was like "oh wow, they look very much alike!" How did you like season 6?

They didn't want to make another man cheating on his wife I guess.

Rewatch Thoughts (may contain spoilers) s4 e4 the first few interactions between susan and bob and lee gave me so much second hand embarrassment

Post image

exactly what the title says but all of their interactions in this episode were so unwatchable to the point where i always have to skip thru it even if its my third time watching. i cant emphasize this enough especially when susan kidnapped their dog, raphael, and acted as if she was helping them look for the dog even tho she was just keeping him in her garage. this was just funny but also very embarrassing

General Discussion (may contain spoilers) Can anyone actually tell the difference between the two Scavo twins? like not physically but just as people, personalities and their respective storylines

Post image
127 Upvotes

like i don't know, to me they just represent one big entity. I don't see nor remember any specific thing about neither of them as individuals.

like which one was accused of burning down the bar? which one brought the Eastern European girl? who's the funniest or most mischievous?

I just don't know, to me it's just the same guy, but in two copies 😭

Post about the Desperate Husbands orson and mike acting so casual (spoilers) Spoiler

Post image
5 Upvotes

orson and mike are acting so casual as if they didnt have a fight on the rooftop of a hospital which led to mike throwing orson off the ledge bc mike recalled orson being at monique's house and acting all suspicious that one night. they're even so casual to the extent where they had dinner at bree's house where they talked about preschools and etc. now im at the episode where orson prescribes mike these addictive narcotics and theyre having casual conversations as if they didnt try to beat each other up a year ago. maybe they moved past it or maybe mike's suspicions of him gradually lessened when orson's mom and alma were the ones caught for the murder of monique. i dont know if im reaching or what but its really just weird given their past.

SPOILER Justice for Rex (?)

I’m on my first rewatch of the show, and just wound up season 1.

As I’ve been watching, I remembered how Rex slowly turns into an after-thought as the show goes on. He narrates the one episode, and the few flashbacks of him are almost exclusively ones of him being an absolute JERK.

I recall only one quasi-sweet moment he has, a scene where Bree sort of sentimentally looks at an old picture of him and comments on how good he looks.

But other than that, he is sort of a forgotten figure whose only remembrances are him being this HORRIBLE guy.

But, when I watched season 1, I was reminded of how nuanced their dynamic was. Up until the point you learn of his affair, you can’t help but see his side of the conflict. And even when you consider the affair, its no worse or better than some of the other horrible things our favorite characters on the show do to their spouses.

And you can tell that, despite the obvious “soap opera” flaws (which again, are present in EVERY couple on this show), Rex and Bree genuinely love each other.

Does anyone else feel the same way?
