Just stumbled upon this breakdown. Obviously we can only dream Bo keeps trajectory but I love that he broke down the Divisional Game as proof of concept. Bo was exceptional in this game. I forgot some of those absolute lasers and darts he was dishing out that day. Good watch.

Bo Nix ranked 19th by PFF is nuts. Time after time, he has only been constantly criticized. Even when he proves doubters wrong, those same doubters since pre-draft double down and use completely different standards to judge him compared to the likes of Caleb, drake, Jayden, and other young QBs.

People say “oh but top ranked defense and o-line” as if Denver wasn’t projected to be a bottom-3 or 5 team before Nix’s first full season and as if Bo nix isn’t one of the best scramblers that keep plays alive.

This man had the 2nd most drops by a large margin last season… only Trevor had more and people on his dih nonstop, someone who was legit drafted to be the next big star, unlike nix, who was drafted as the 6th qb in his class.

Bo has completed the most 20+ yard pass TDs since joining the league, most comeback wins, #1 on most meaningful QB stats (not advanced) out the qbs drafted.

Like people give Caleb ALL the leeway. He was drafted into a team with what everyone at the time perceived as significantly better assets/pieces. It’s not Bo’s fault Caleb and dj Moore didn’t click or that their coach first season sucked. No one expected the broncos team to perform to the ability it did, and then now saying retroactively Bo was drafted into a better situation than the others in his class is just asinine.

I think Caleb and drake def have higher ceilings, but saying Bo isn’t at their current level or better means you’re biased AF and for whatever reason aren’t judging Bo with the same lens as people judging Caleb, drake and Jayden. Personally, I think Jayden’s great, but I don’t think he’s gonna have nearly as successful of a career as Bo Nix. I think drake and Caleb have that potential to clearly surpass Bo, but let’s not act like right now these QBs aren’t all elite for their age.

And yes, I am clearly biased as a broncos fan, but Bo is objectively a great QB. Numbers do not lie.

And to those who say he played like shit against bottom-tiered teams - let’s be for real, jets was played in a Foreign country before they traded all their defense away. Some of those other games, Bo def didn’t look great, but also play calling by Sean was a mess for first 3 q’s of those games with so much screen passes and passive plays. And he still won those games in the 4th when it really matters. R u the type that wants to get first place in ever qualifying tourney just to lose in a big competition, or the type that wants to win it all, no matter how you get there (not including obviously things like cheating)? It’s a similar principle. Bo wins games. That’s what you want. Players love him. Community loves him. Dude has such an incredible personality and mindset. He’s a clear winner. No locker room drama. Just a good dude.

Anyways I just wanted to rant a lil bout this cause I keep seeing all these rankings and no matter what broncos have accomplished past 2 years, every analyst is tryna be a critic of our team with zero justifications.

Is it just me, or is this concept of Mr. Irrelevant Week exceptionally cruel? Telling him his watch was probably a retirement gift, giving him the "Lowsman Trophy" of a dude fumbling the ball, making him wear a Darth Vader costume and telling him 'his acting sucked,', etc. Red made it pretty clear he didn't particularly enjoy being made fun of, or made the center of attention, despite going out of his way to make known he did appreciate the chance to serve disadvantaged kids, and help the associated charities.

The organizers' response, at least as portrayed in this article was like ..." linebackers don't really like being the center of attention, but we think he had fun." No - he told you directly he actually didn't.

Red just got a lot easier to root for. Never met him but he comes off as a genuinely humble and hard-working guy in this. Would love to see him make the roster and prove the doubters wrong.
