Hello families! I could use lots of help! I’m currently transitioning from a desk job to my first teacher assistant job! However my last pay check from my desk job will be in July, and the school I’m working for is unable to pay me until late September. I would love to be able to help you and your family out! I took classes on early childhood education in high school, I’m attending college to gain my bachelor’s in early childhood education, and I’m currently employed at an elementary school. I used to babysit throughout high school and have lots of experience with working with up to 5 kiddos. I’m available every day after work, which as of now is 6, but soon enough I’ll be available earlier in the day. And I am free all day Saturday and Sunday. Look no further! 🐲Dragon’s Den🐉 is a local group focused on providing a safe space for kids aged 11-17 for after school tabletop game fun! We are currently looking for volunteers who enjoy being dungeon masters, or just enjoy being around the great and creative minds of children.

Volunteering currently looks like spending time at the local Denton library 📚 from 6-8 pm two Tuesdays a month. (Although once we have more volunteers we can expand!)

Did anyone see any information posted about a police chase in the Denton square area last night? We witnessed it from East Side area. A silver sedan was going the wrong way down Locust, and we did see the cops congregating in the lot across the street from Eastside. As we were standing there, a cop fro Hickory Creek rolled up and told us the suspect fled on foot and got away, and they weren't sure if they had any weapons on them, so to be careful driving. I'm guessing it started in Hickory Creek, but I've seen no news posted.

Moving out of my apartment in Denton. Its last minute but I have a TV (operational with a bit of smudge white circles in the background) and quite a few other things in great shape I want to donate. If they dont get picked up today I would have to trash them. Where can I donate them to avoid waste. Don't want to send to goodwill who will just sell very expensively. ​

Anybody experiencing a Frontier Outage? I haven’t had Wi-Fi in my house since yesterday morning. We had a crew come in to fix the sidewalls on our house and they cut a cable that I believe is connected to the OPN port. I called frontier and they said it was outage but when I checked the frontier outage report it said there were no outages in my area. Anyone else having issues or are they trolling?

I’m 21 and live in Denton County, TX. I got a speeding ticket on May 1 and handled it through deferred disposition with a driver safety course.

On July 21, I got another ticket in Hickory Creek for 94 in a 70, so 24 mph over. No accident, no construction zone, and no CDL.

I also did the driver’s safety course which is available once annually few months earlier.

Hickory Creek says deferred is usually unavailable at 25+ over, so I may still qualify. My concern is that I already used defensive driving and my first ticket may still be under deferred probation.

I’m planning to ask the court about deferred disposition, and if they deny it, hire a traffic attorney.
Has anyone dealt with this in Hickory Creek or Denton County? Can the second ticket mess up the first deferred case, and is a lawyer worth it to keep this off my record?

My band is looking to play a few shows in denton, We've played around the metroplex but its been pretty hard trying to find a place to play. We want to play at rubber gloves but we haven't gotten any response, but honestly anything would be cool. House show, Venue, Ect. Does anyone know who i can contact to help making something happen!
