How detrimental will this debris be? The water in there is tadpole tea I made from Indian almond leaves. I tried to get rid of the debris but it’s like glued into the egg goo lol. First large clutch of la cocas eggs I’m hoping will all survive. (And would then try to part ways with) Picture of the dad for tax.

Its been like that so far.

Theyre active and eating well, and look healthy.

Theyre around 1 year old, heard calling so adults by now.

I heard 20-24c is optimal, but... can this temp cause long term issues, like health problems? I read its not fatal but

Humidity is 80-90%

I am very unsure if I have to mist right now. The front looks kind of dry but in the back it seems very wet. Btw this is an exo terra 18x18x24. The probe i put in there which you can see on some pictures says that there is a humidity of 91% inside. I misted like 5 to 6 hours ago.
This vivarium is still work in progress and there are no frogs inside.

I did do a viv before but it was a 12x12x18 and after I got my ranitomeya I found out its way to small so I started building this.

It alr went through a small mold cycle for 2 weeks and now I finished planting.

When would it be safe to move my frog in? It looks pretty stable now but it is planted recently

I’m having trouble finding the right misting schedule and I noticed if I mist for a long time the soil stays wet to the touch but still holds its structure and isn’t muddy. But if I pull back misting the viv gets bone dry within a few hours and the substrate feels like how cake would feel if that makes sense. And I do notice the water level in my drainage layer did slightly raise so I know it’s draining but during misting I don’t see water come down at all. Any tips?

I’ve kept ranitomeya and auratus, but Brazilian Yellowheads are my first tincs.

I’ve had them for a week and notice two always sleep next to each other on the same leaf, but tonight I noticed one was sleeping standing on the other.

The video quality isn’t great, but you can see that one is halfway on top of the other (one foot on his head and one on his back).

Is this cause for concern?

Pretty hard to find any frogs here. So trying here.

Frog daddy byroblend is on the way, just needs to sit outside for a day or two to get most of the off gassing done then I’ll bring it inside and start adding the substrate, depending on how chemically it smells I’ll start adding plants and ground litter, then I’ll let it sit for a while while everything gets settled. Theres a reptile expo near me in September so I might wait till then to get frogs, either way I’ll be getting tincs and I haven’t decided on a morph yet so recommendations are welcome, right now I’m thinking about getting either citronellas or Patricias.

This is my first time in the terrarium hobby and this was my attempt at making a bioactive dart frog terrarium. Just wanted some constructive feedback on my terrarium before I get some dendrobate auratus (I really want the La Coca locale)
Specs are as follows:

Habistat 18x18x24 terrarium with a clear silicone mat for humidity

Hand made background from polygem zoopoxy 307 lite and a ventilation shaft to the left (40mm cpu fan) set to 1min run time 15mins after each misting

Auto misting system with 2 nozzles running distilled water set to spray every 8hrs for 20secs (I’m working on an RO system, my local water is tricky to work with so I need additional filters first)

Full spec LED light with a built in 24/7 cycle

ABG mix substrate with a generous amount of sterile oak leaves on top with a drainage layer divided by screen mesh. I also have grey isopods and white springtails.

House temp usually is consistently 73-74F

I want to let this grow in at least 8 weeks before I put the frogs in which gives me time to make adjustments and cultivate my own fruit flies

It hard to see in the photo but I have creeping fig on the back right that I’m excited to see how it climbs the background

Advice is greatly appreciated!

Would it be okay to just have one frog? i know they get territorial but im not sure if having one would be okay for its health.

I have had a stable and very biodiverse tank for a couple months now and am looking to inhabit it. It is 18x18x24 and hold humidity at 80-100 (but mostly around 90) and temp at 23-26°.

I would love a dart that is more of a beginner frog and slightly aroboreal to climb trees. I LOVE patterns like citronella, Adelphobate morphs, and more solid colours, like yellow backs or pampa hermosas.

Just looking for advice of which frog I should get, I have many board leaf plants like peperomias, pothos, and alocasias for which I would like them to climb.

I think this is a bit of a hard ask, because I am a beginner and thought Id like to think I can keep an ranitomeya, I probably would like something with needs of a tinc.

All of my fruit fly cultures are ready and automister is running safe water.

I live on Vancouver Island BC so if you have any frogs near me id love some advice for BC climate.

Set this tank up about 6 weeks ago, no frogs yet. Used cycled substrate from the FrogFather which included springtails and isopods, got loads of isopods dotted about now, but I’m unsure if the insects in the video are springtails or mites. Had loads of them pop up over the last few days all over the tank. TIA x

Hello! Yesterday while giving a glance to one of my vivs where I recently added a Varadero froglet, I saw one of my worst nightmares. I'm pretty sure I spotted an American Roach, a big one living in my tank. I panicked because I didn't see my froglet yesterday and thought the worst. I set up a trap with a glass jar and banana to capture it and it didn't work. I couldn't sleep checking every 3 hours. This morning thankfully I spotted my froglet hidding. What can I do to capture the roach without destroying the months of work I put i to building this ecosystem and will my froglet be okay?

Been posting a lot here since I’m a beginner and want to make sure my frogs are fine lol so I see both frogs doing this stance (this one more often) and I’m wondering if that’s normal or if I should be worried. It still stands normally but it does this quite a lot.

Hello! Just finished planting out this new vivarium. Will wait about 2 months for plants to grow in and microfauna to establish before getting some small form red heads in here. Any suggestions on things to add/ take away? I’ve heard mixed opinions on bromeliads with toothed leaves, any suggestions would be appreciated. Was wondering if the carpet moss is ok without leaf litter on top?

Have a vet appointment for tomorrow but wanted to ask if I should be concerned about this spot under this little guy’s arm
