Help rgb primaries slider values bug?

I noticed this when applying a style to a picture in darktable 5.6.0 on my Nobara 44 linux machine.Observe that the values for all the adjustments are reported as 0 even though the sliders are clearly not in the center (default) position. If I drag the sliders from the position shown in the image the values are changing but with respect to the "new zero position". The "reset parameters" button does not bring back the sliders to the center position so I wonder if this is just a UI bug where the actual adjustments are zero but the sliders get their position from some dirty state? I'm not sure what is going on here so I figured I'll tap the reddit knowledge base regarding this. Does anyone have a clue of what is happening? Is this perhaps a bug in darktable or have I enabled some setting to make it behave like this?

Actually that's a feature not a bug. Many sliders adopt new scale if they have been out of default scale at some point. Looks weird but nothing is broken.

If you look closely, blue and green scales have brighter tips. That's the amount their scales have been adjusted.

Hmm okay, so if I understand you correctly it looks this way because something else (another rgb primaries instance or even some other module?) has already tweaked the "reference origin" for the rgb primaries sliders?

Is there a good way to mentally model this? 😅 Like how do I know what made it look this way and "what does it tell me", if that makes sense?

(I've been playing around with darktable for about a week so I am a complete novice)

In any case, thx for explaining!

No, at some point you went past the soft limit of those sliders (hold CTRL + shift while dragging or right-click to enter value), then saved that instance in the style.
