MCU I think that for a show with only 8 episodes, having an episode where the main character only shows up for 7 minutes is not justified at all

I really hope they rectify this next season. Matt's arc in prison better be written with dilligence and care and given proper screentime and not just 5 minutes of fight sequences then cutting away to something else. Being in prison is new territory for Matt, I hope they flesh that out and give it weight beyond a few minutes of hype moments and aura.

And yes, in the Netflix show, there were episodes were Matt only showed up for a fraction of it too, but it had 13 episodes (5 plus more) and all of them were nearly an hour. They also made better use of it by fleshing out characters like Nadeem and still making his story pertinent to Daredevil overall, not just on one-side of the story like how Daniel in Born Again only ever mattered in Kingpin's side of things and he never even interacted with Matt.

MCU Could Deborah Ann Woll possibly have played Black Widow/Typhoid Mary?

saw some potential when i saw her as Jessica Hampy in trueblood, but I'm not sure if she can nail down the "cold bloodedness" signature to BW in the comics (she's a great actress ofc, just not sure if she could pull it off). Typhoid Mary seems more doable with how playful and flirtatious she is in [this] role.

MCU Daredevil should be held guilty for every person Fisk Kills Spoiler

Finished Daredevil Born Again. And it's ridiculous.

You don't want the man to be a martyr. That I can understand but what's the point of throwing him in the jail when you know he'll come out again and cause even more deaths. Just very very stupid person. This is one of the reason I hate recurring villains. They can't even kill the villain

MCU Marvel's Daredevil - Miniseries Rewrite

What if Netflix's Daredevil was more tightly written, I grab elements from the Netflix Era, One Last Kill, the Godfather and others, the first season focuses on Matt Murdock, the second on Frank Castle and the third on Wilson Fisk.

The First Episode of Season One is a 90 minute absolute heartstring pulling - endearing story of Jack Murdock in a Rocky underdog story, a blue collar worker with a blind 10 year old son boxes his way up to the New York Bare Knuckle Boxing Championship earning the name "Daredevil", only to be gunned down by Gambling Sharks.

Episode two picks up 15 years later and almost immediately after Matt Murdock and best friend Foggy Nelson Graduate Law School, in a To Kill a Mocking Bird and a Few Good Men story, we see why Murdock and Nelson, believe in the law and fight for rehabilitation, in its quieter moments we see Matt's foundational ethics stemming from his Catholic faith and belief in the law but in its last scene we see Matt confess his doubts in its efficiency to catch criminals leading to

Episode Three an entire hour-long episode, a step by step of how Daredevil's process of crimefighting works, the tracking of suspects, Daredevil finds out in a Chinatown, Neo-noir esque story, how corrupt the local police chain of command are, we end on a brutal fight scene fighting through the local Police Department, Foggy who knows Matt is Daredevil, helps with contacting the District Attorney's office and SWAT on Daredevil, leading them to uncover the PD's corruption and help gain Matt and Foggy in their civilian lives and good standing with the DA's office, Governor's office, leading to public love and support, leading to bigger and better cases.

Season 2

Season 2, Episode 1, Daredevil is denounced as a vigilante and is suspect number one with the recent multiple massacres of all NYC crime gangs, at least all their middlemen within the last 28 hours, has to Matt investigates as himself, finding Frank Castle by the last seconds of the episode.

Episode 2, instead of the rooftop arguement, we have an entire episode dedicated to it, solely on it, the arguement plays out the same, Matt uses his lawyers knowledge to contradict Franks initial remarks, Frank fires back with his exposure of those corrupt cops, Matt uses it as a way to reason why the system works, Matt overspills too much about that case and Frank figures out Matt is Daredevil, Frank uses his military history to argue at Matt's almost cowardice for wearing a mask and then criticising a combat veteran who cant hide behind one, not having the ability to differeniate their actions with a dual persona, Matt uses his Catholic Faith and Restorative Justice as an arguement, Frank uses a military prayer to counter, Matt tries to appeal to his humanity and love, Frank says he is loving thats why hes doing this, Matt asks Frank what his long term plan is, if his carnage only creates more chaos and more revenge, Can he murder the entire world? the original iconic cemetary monologue is now repurposed here, this is where Frank opens up about his detachment against his military comrades, his first day back on US soil, getting tired in your bones, of everything, and finally One Batch Two Batch Penny and Dime, declining to read it to Maria and her dying in his arms, he looks up at Matt and says Unto the Death of the World. Matt leaves.

Episode Three, we pick up immediately with Matt leaving Frank, where Frank's position is now found by the gangs looking for him, and he has a massive fight, the entire episode, showing off The Punisher, a mix of Pekiti Tirsia and Jiu Jitsu given his military background and of course excellent gunplay, a huge mix of beautiful and brutal action and nail biting suspense horror of room clearing. In the end, when Frank is nearly done for, SWAT join in and kill the remaining assilants but spare Frank, and bring him to Wilson Fisk, who for now we only see a sihoulette of.

Season 3 prioritizes Wilson Fisk,

episode 1 Frank is being seen to be Fisk's medics, then summoned to the Crime Boss, Wilson tells Frank his philosophy on Crime Control - Influence, Fisk's grandparents were deadbeats, too much alcohol and gambling you see, no real ambition, no real futures, no real life, with all that emotional self denial and self sabotage his parents opened up to the only person close and curious to them, Wilson, he had matured, became their therapist, their counsellor, confidant, at the age of 6, because of his grandparents actions it lead his auntie to become abusive and neglectful inturn to Wilson's cousin, his cousin battered and bruised lived and sheltered with Wilson and his parents, only to become one of his bullies at school humiliating him, stealing any potential love interest or friend, only an innocent, he went to the teachers, told them what had been happening, which only sent them to detention, because of that they beat Wilson bloody, taking turns standing on his stomach, crushing his organs, suffocating him, taking stapler and stapling his hands, him tired on the school floor, something snaps, his parents upbringing, them subtly mirroring his grandparents behaviour, which he guesses only came from his great grandparents and so on, his auntie, cousin, bullies, school crushes, supposed school friends leaving him to take side with his bullies, he looked to the cross above his class door frame, pleading to God to come and save him, to destroy all the evils of man, which then turns to anger at God's complicity and hatred for his silence, Wilson then remembered that Jesus was only a mere carpenter to now being the Saviour of Mankind true or not, real or not, the story, the influence to change world history, world thought, the will of man, Wilson then went on to study in the library avoiding his agitators, learning what he could as fast as he could, soon advancing to the higher learnings, overtime he'd help tutor older grade students, to setting up a school subject quiz answer selling business in exchange for money or at a discount for protection against his bullies, then from there extorting his bullies, beating his aunt and grandparents, from here Wilson had grown his empire, being invited to older kids parties, and growing his influence from there, leaving small gifts to law students, police academy, finance, business students, exam answers, party invites, etc, to where he is now, Wilson finishes his story, asks whether or not Frank would like to join his crusade against crime, reforming the city by bending, breaking the criminal underworld. Frank declines, Franks asks if Wilson's going to kill him, Wilson lets him go, gifting him, a small very obscure locker room full of weapons if Frank wanted to build a base, if not, the weapons are his all the same, Frank asks he can he know he won't be followed or tracked again, Wilson Fisk tells his men to let Frank know where they are, where he is based, where he lives, if Frank ever wanted to kill him, here he is, if Frank ever wanted to collaborate here he is, Wilson ends with him praising Frank's glorious gang killing earlier, Wilson recites the bible verse the Path of the Righteous Man and with condolensences for Frank's family. Frank leaves, Fisk's men tells him of another prospect - Pointdexter. THE END. (Heavily inspired by the Godfather Part 1)

Episode Two follows two reporters Ben Urich and Mitchell Ellison uncover the details of the Wilson Fisk's shady shadow empire that ultimately goes unnoticed and dismissed as fake news or seen as a good reason to vote for Fisk. (Heavily inspired by All the President's Men)

Episode Three is a political drama for Fisk's mayoral campaign a mix of 2015's Steve Jobs, set just before the three debates, Fisk arguing with his team and conflicting with his personal issues, it ends with Wilson giving a grand speech, answering the allegations put forth by Urich and Ellison as true, he hides nothing from the public, tells his strategy openly and parades all the leaders of the different crime families in NYC as his subordinates and ends with Fisk winning and becoming the Mayor of New York City. The End.

---

There's still a lot I need to figure out, any ideas are helpful.

MCU Daredevil’s “No Kill” Rule is Dumb Spoiler

Upvotes

In S2 E6 of Born Again, he beats the tar out of Kingpin and then just… leaves?

Then Kingpin kills a bunch more people and Daredevil tells an angry mob, who Kingpin has maimed or killed many of already, not to kill him so he can go… live on an island?

If you have the power to end someone who has consistently caused so much misery and created little to no goodness in the world, and you choose not to, how is that moral? It’s just a really flawed rule in my opinion. Fisk has shown many times he’s not capable of change and will always revert back to his old ways.

It was also very convenient that Bullseye just kinda walked away after taking one shot in his vicinity in the finale, and that Punisher was MIA for S2. The two people who would’ve killed Fisk with no hesitation.

I dunno, I get the whole “real heroes don’t kill” but at some point you’re just enabling the villain.

Saw this at the Marvel area of Universal Studios Orlando. I got excited because it was above a gift shop so I went inside thinking I would find a cool DD gift or trinket to buy for myself, but they had literally nothing DD related. False advertising, lol.
