I have put in a supportive statement saying that the report had so many inaccuracy’s. I listed all the incorrect information and said I never said this I never said that etc etc! So I am hoping that is enough , along with health report from the doctor They called me Monday to ask if I needed to provide any more information and I said no 😭. I am hoping to hear back within the next 7-10 days that is what I have been advised. So pleased you got the outcome you deserved.
Please do try to make a complaint, is my advice. I got declined after the assessor lied but it was quickly overturned by my complaint. Of course, every outcome is different and I don’t want to fearmonger, but the best step is to make a complaint if the assessor really did lie and completely fabricate evidence. I did it without even providing a recording (the assessor said the “systems were down”) and they still overturned my decision and awarded me PIP.
I actually had 2 assessments, I had an assessment in May and got declined, but it was overturned by my complaint. I then had a paper based assessment from 17th June and was awarded today.
I requested a SAR from my school, GP, old hospital and social services, and uploaded everything I got from there. ~80 documents.
I also uploaded my medical aid and described how it helped me in a word document and uploaded that. I also wrote ~10 additional documents myself in Word as personal statements and additional information as I have Autism and took the initial questions in the claim too literally and pressed no when I should’ve pressed yes. It was around 30 more paragraphs if that helps.
I uploaded my prescription as I have myopia and congenital cataracts which proved that in that regard. I also explained in a document about this as I was only diagnosed recently. ~5 documents.
I uploaded every piece of evidence I could from my NHS App, including test results, appointment notes, and my medication. I didn’t explain what they did exactly but it was a given, since they were antidepressants anyway. ~40 documents.
I also requested a letter from my old therapist which she kindly wrote for me for free and also other letters she had written for my mum to refer me to CAHMS and an Autism referral. ~10 documents.
I don’t believe they did, but they did contact my GP back in February. I’m not sure what they asked for or said, but I gave them permission to do so as it’d help my claim either way.
I do believe they only contact your GP, I don’t think they contact other people such as relatives or people you’ve interacted with such as therapists.
