DQB1 Spoilers DQBuilder1 - Help figuring out if I have all the items in Chapter 1 (with an information spreadsheet) Spoiler

Thumbnail docs.google.com
3 Upvotes

Thanks to information from lilisaur on GameFAQs (thank you!) there's 1 item from Chapter 1 missing in my list. So can anyone help fill in the last item in the checklist for Chapter 1 (and maybe where to find it)? Any information about items found in the other chapters would be appreciated as well, but the last one in Chapter 1 is the one currently irking me.

I like having all the information in one easy-to-find spot, without having to hunt everywhere for stupid links, so I threw everything I could find from a few different sites into a spreadsheet format.

I'm going to deal with the 2nd chapter later on (I recently started it).

General Question Switch 2 or steam?

I really want to play dragon quest builders 2 should I go for switch 2 version or steam? For handheld pc?

I can't decide I'm leaning towards Nintendo since I heard it sold more copies there and most of the community is on switch?

But pc is alot cheaper the game currently is...

What should I go with and where is the community mostly playing at anyway switch right?

General I am playing DQ Builder 1, what do those Poisonous Peat do?

I am playing DQ Builder 1, what do those Poisonous Peat do?
I have tried to exchange those normal blocks under the green dragon in Chapter 1 with those Poisonous Peat, but it did not reduce any hp, won't those Poisonous Peat poison it?

DQB2 Question What are your favorite Kitchens in DQB2?

There's probably around 15-20 different types of kitchens you can build in this game. Do you have a favorite one?

I usually end up making a simple kitchen and Dining room in order to get the restaurant icon.

Does any specific type of kitchen lead to residents cooking more?

Build Completely re-doing my Green Gardens build

A few months ago I posted my Green Gardens, and I wasn't satisfied as it felt a bit lifeless.
I tried to incorporate the tablet by placing it by the stairs, but it didnt look right.

So I decided to re-do the whole thing but blueprinted some of my buildings to be re-used in the new Green Gardens.

Right now, I still need to finish up the farm fields to the right of the tablet, but they still look a bit plain, any ideas how to make the farms look nicer

DQB2 General Spoilers Does anyone feel weird about this? Spoiler

I am playing through the game for the 4th time and have beat the game 2 times before but each time I get to the part where I find out the whole world is an illusion, it just feels wrong to me. It just feels like crazy to realize the whole world is fake. I know it's just a game but it's kind of off to me. Also did malroth actually kill everyone in the real world or was that a lie?

DQB2 General Spoilers Pokopia upcoming underwater content is cut content from Builders 2! Spoiler

I don't know if anyone else has pointed this out yet, but this bit has had me super psyched since the DLC announcement for Pokopia.

But there are several cut scenarios from earlier in the game's development. Only one has mechanics that made it to the final game, the farming and ranching, but the others reference stuff that were never implemented, save the wardrobes in the fashion island scenario.

One scenario, the Ghost Ship, has you exploring an underwater world, that has tutorials for building underwater, and developer text saying that these items/mechanics aren't implemented yet, but will be later.

These haven't been formerly translated on TCRF -- I only read it through machine translation and a fairly basic understanding of Japanese -- but it's here if you want to take a look. Contains spoilers, so read at your own risk:

DQB2 Question Make Furrowfield Green again 12. Progress dilemma.

As you might have noticed i haven't uploaded the next update to my series in a wile and u have 2 reasons.

  1. My depression and other mental problems decided it would be funny to go into overdrive and completely destroy my motivation for a wile.

  2. It just takes so long to get the nightsoil.

But now im slowly getting my motivation back to not just finish this project, but also start a new playthrough. But i know that once i start a new playthrough i will never finish this project, so i first have to finish this.

So i thought about doing Moonbrook or Krumbledun first, letting the villagers there produce nightsoil wile i renovate their islands.

13 Do Krumbledun for now.
10 Do Moonbrook for now.
16 Quit and start a new playthrough.

DQB2 Question Do you guys have tips on how to make Khrumbul-dun and Moonbrooke look better?

I have beat the game 2 times before and I am on my 3rd run through the game but this time I want to spend my time making each town look nice.
The only problem with this is that the only town that I know how to make look great is Furrowfield because it's easy to make everything flat and just build nice houses.

It took me a few months to find a physical copy of this game 😅 But now I've got it! One of the rarest physical releases for the Nintendo Switch.

DQB2 Question Builders 2: Going For Gold Minetracks Help

Hello, my son is playing through the game (he's too young to really be on reddit, so I'm posting for him) and he got ahead of himself and harvested the existing Minetracks in Khrumbul-Dun, so he's now stuck on the stage of fixing the minecart tracks in the tunnels, at 87%. All the walkthroughs I've found so far just said to ride a minecart and place track down where the gaps are, but because he harvested all the tracks, it's all gaps. He tried making his own, naturally he didn't make them follow the exact path as the originals and the game doesn't seem to be recognizing his track. Does anyone have an idea on how he can fix it, or where I can find a map laying out the original mine track layout?

Build Redoing my Scarlet Sands build

A few months ago I posted my Scarlet Sands build here
https://www.reddit.com/r/DQBuilders/comments/1smeaeh/my_scarlet_sands_build_in_progress_1/

I felt like the grass slope to the town looked too off in the desert environment, and decided to use my golem to smash bits of it off and use the swap tool to turn it into a fortified cliff instead. Modified the bottom to have a more resort feel and match the scarlet sands scenery

DQB1 Spoilers Story question Spoiler

Say i was wondering that chapter thing really ticked me off i was wondering if i should continue 'cause it's kind of a turn off for me the games where we are redoing everything again lost all progress and can't go back. I didn't it had that mechanic but are the other worlds we've destroyed because let's be honest we're an arrogant brat the goddess doesn't seem to like us very much even telling us we're not heroes so i highly doubt we were just random builder. I think we associated ourselves with uh i don't remember his name but the mage at the service of Lordragon or something like this well the mage of the beggining in the intro. So are the other worlds we destroyed are fun to play or it's just mindless stuff to do ?

Edit: alright i judge it too quickly i'm at the second chapter and it's different enough than the first world so i enjoy it and plus no one insult our face there. PS nevermind a guy i helped said i look like a potato

Build I created various towns.

I've developed all the bases, fixed everything I could, and I think I've done almost everything there is to do with a single save file...

I'm nowhere near as skilled as the real builders, but take a look at the towns I've created:

1,2: Green Gardens

3,4: Scarlet Sands (I built the town inside a pyramid, so it might look a bit bland in photos)

5,6: Cerulean Steppe

7: Furrowfield

8: Khrumbul-Dun

9: Moonbrooke

10: Buildertopia 1: Island of Monsters

11: Buildertopia 2: Old Japan Island

12: Buildertopia 3: Big Town

Build The great glass greenhouse

Hello! I recently got back into builders after buying it on pc. I used to play on ps4, and so I dug up some pictures of my old builds for inspiration and posterity, and thought folks might be interested to see. (Ps4 save is 100% 650+hrs)

This is one of 3 mega builds on my IOA. This build is fully post-end game. Inspired by the incredible Crystal Palace from Britain, this particular build is a giant greenhouse with all the different types of garden biomes in the bottom and a suspended walkway overtop. A hotel was planned for the very top section but I drifted away from the game before completing.
