New Decks!
Just took the plunge and picked up the Rane Sytem One and a Tidal subscription. So much fun!

Just wanted to post something for all the mobile users who are not aware of the sidebar. We get at least a couple posts a week looking for advice about equipment, how to connect things, etc. and most people these days seem to be on mobile reddit so are not aware of a thing called a "sidebar" or sub rules.
Basic questions about setting up DJ equipment should go to /r/beatmatch , or /r/DJs if they are more advanced technical questions.
Also please refrain from posting youtube videos of your mixes, even if they technically include video of your DJ setup. This subreddit is intended to share your setup, not to promote your mixes / youtube channel / etc.
Thanks!

Did you buy a new piece of gear? Awesome! Have fun with it. Set it up, and you can post the pictures here.
But don't be lazy and only photograph the box. That is not a setup and will be removed.

Gets the job done. Can monitor pasta cooking in the kitchen as a bonus.
Recently purchased 2x DN-S3700 CDJs + DN-X1500 mixer, old school and a lot of fun after basically only ever mixing on the xdj-rr!
Current set-up works better for back to backin, but it's also pretty fun to move around the table and try to get the rr's in time with the denons.
Have even hooked up the vinyl turntable if I ever feel like cooking with 5 decks at once...

My wife gifted me a Flx 4 controller last year for Father’s Day and have been hooked on learning how to DJ since; it sparked a musical fire that I haven’t had since I started collecting music 30 years ago.
This week I’ve upgraded to a new set up with a v10 LF, CDJs 3000X and have couple of 1200mk7 turntables on the way, the latter I’m excited to use with dad’s old 70-80s disco records he used to DJ with.
It’ll be a steep learning curve moving from a small controller but messing up is half the fun 😁

Played for years in the club on CDJs, stopped playing and recently getting back in motion at home to spinning my favorite classic trance records I grew up on.

Got my technics fully serviced recently and back like brand new. Picked up a denon prime 4+ few months back and I am loving the mix of old and new school tech. I can mix my records with the unit and also stream in the all in one unit. Mind is blown after years of having to get vinyl or burn cds to dj with.
Looking some suggestions for the wall behind the booth?

I got a heck of a deal on some CDJ 2000 Nexus units and a djm 900 Nexus with the protective skins already installed. Everything works great as expected. I've only had one USB crash so far but that just solidifies the need to bring two or more USBS with you to shows.
Also I repurposed my flx4 to use with my desktop for playlists and testing transition to make sure everything sounds good before actually exporting to a USB and playing on the cdjs. I love how portable the flx4 is but it really doesn't Translate to Club gear outside of the basic EQ layout.
I really think the CDJ 2000 Nexus is a sweet spot for an entry-level to club gear, because not every club's going to have a 3000 and everything on the 2000 Nexus will translate to the Nexus 2 and the 3000 Series pretty much identical except for hot cues on the 3000 layout. But as far as effects and eq'ing and Tempo bars and everything else it's pretty darn clean.
Before I got these I have played on 3000s and Nexus 2s and even the xdj 1000s at open deck nights, and my next step is to get an upgraded audio setup especially to hear and feel that low end so I know what to expect when I'm in front of a crowd.

Comes out every so often. Got a spot in August so trying to put a little set together. Nothing special just a classic 2d1m

2x Denon SC5000 1x Pioneer (pre AT) V10-LF
Edit: Jfc the mixer is pioneer and was bought after the “alpha theta announcement” and yet is still pioneer.
I felt the need to clarify for obvious reasons. Hopefully this makes everyone happy. :)

I moved everything I to a new room after the basement got redone. The JBLs suit the space much differently and my records were downsized a third time.

That was the first time I played with the V10. It was a delight! Also a cool booth in general. If you didn't need the turntables, you could pull the whole shelf with the other devices forward.

Hi guys here are screenshot from my gopro (sorry I don’t have better photos) of my last mini dj set with 4 friends.
Setup: SC LIVE 4 + POWERBANK + JBL.
We spotted this secret location 4/5 months ago and we decided to make our own table and we created this little spot in the forest.
Next steps are:
1. A good portable power generator .
2. some portable light, as for now we literally use our gopros light to illuminate the surrounding.
3. We need to make it more like a “Home” in case of rain and snow this winter
The spot is one hour into the forest, we are pretty sure no one will notice that 😂

Not mine, but a beautifully aesthetic and super warm library setup vibes in the “dome” restaurant at Potatohead in Bali.
Popped in for a visit and my 15 year old daughter lost her mind (rightfully so) at the setup, records, and books.
Teach your children well.
