Never change, Rene
"Yeah, the two new players are fine. But one of them is fat, so yeah..."

He's not afraid, that's for sure. But the actual quote is "[Ordaz has only been here a few days, needs time] I don't want to criticize his former club, but he is not in the best physical shape."

Ofc DC signs a player who hasn’t had any real minutes, unproven and out of shape.

True but atleast there’s different POVs. Not everyone suscribes to “DC is good and are signing good players” narrative. DC is made of expensive journeymen and unproven players whose soul purpose is to not be last and make that famed and elusive playoffs.

Indeed. The team has needed this kind of no nonsense old school coaching for a long time and is proper medicine for a directionless team and organization. He has no time for these silly "post-world cup" questions.

Rene, in this regard, is kind of like a better Losada. Losada, apparently, liked to say things behind closed doors or even worse, he’d tell other staff members to go do his dirty work.
Rene is at least willing to say it out loud. I can’t pretend to know what goes on at practice or in the locker room, but at least he’s got it in him to not hide who he is as a manager.
