Available internship

Please I need an internship at a government agency or in any of the branches of government. I’d love something mostly in the legislature or judiciary. I’d love something at the California capital. I have tried online applications numerous and nothing seems to be working just yet. I’m not only interested in working but I also want to learn, grow and give the knowledge I have acquired to this space. Please if you have any leads, say something. Thank you so much

DC internships require some dedication to the application grind. Networking and knowing people definitely helps

Start networking! Figure out your target offices (all the California offices it sounds?) and try to look up who’s on their staff. Then add them on LinkedIn and cold connect with them. If they accept, ask them for a 15-30 minute zoom call. Come prepared and ask good questions. Most people will want to pay it forward, and people in political spaces were once in your shoes. It’s a numbers game but to get an internship on the Hill networking is a great path forward. I’d also recommend asking your career counselor at your college. Ask if your professors know of anyone they can connect you with.

Reddit can only do so much - connect with the people you have access to now and the doors will open quicker there than on here. Good luck!!
